Congratulations Lyla and David

Last night was beautifully unique for us. The weather was bad, it was pouring, and there were advisories regarding severe thunderstorms. But, right before the reception began, the rain stopped, the skies cleared, the sun came out, and there was an amazing rainbow in the sky. We could see the whole rainbow from end to end, and then a double rainbow appeared! Now if that isn’t a sign of a happy life for Lyla and David, I don’t know what is. I managed to get a photo of the rainbow through the window behind the cake table. If it comes out, I’ll post it on our website.

Yesterday’s wedding was also unique in that it started at 8:30 p.m., which is later than most. Still, most of the guests stayed and danced until the very end, enjoying the beautiful cake that I heard was made by Lyla’s mom. The late end meant that we didn’t get to bed until 2:30, but that’s okay: it was worth it!
