Congratulations Ryan and Shelby

There is a certain elegance to daytime weddings, and this wedding was the proof.  With the colors of navy and blush, it was perfect for the seaside venue.  The ceremony was held on the hotel’s lawn, overlooking the ocean.  The men all wore navy pants and white shirts while the ladies of the bridal party wore blush dresses.  The flowers were beautiful, in shades of white and pink.  Shelby’s dress was amazing.  It had a full ball gown skirt and the whole dress had an overlay of lace.  Her hair was in a loose updo, with baby’s breath woven in.  She was gorgeous!

When the guests entered the reception, they found a unique guest book.  It was a white, distressed sofa table.  The guests signed the table, and later the newlyweds can use it in their home.  The ballroom carried out the classic elegance style of the wedding with the decor.  The tables had ivory cloths with ivory napkins and the centerpieces were vases with white hydrangea.  The sweetheart table had assorted small vases and bottles, each holding white and pink flowers.

Shelby’s pretty cake had three different white tiers, each on its own stand.  They were accented with pink and white flowers and greenery.  Ryan’s chocolate cake had chocolate frosting with chocolate curls on the top.  The cakes must have been good because they went fast!  When the reception came to an end with the last dance, the newlyweds stayed in the ballroom to bid farewell to their guests.  It was a perfect afternoon for a sweet couple.  Congratulations Ryan and Shelby!

Congratulations Dylan and Rylee

With the wedding colors of navy, soft pink and gold, this reception was so pretty.  The tables had navy floor-length cloths topped with gold chargers and soft pink napkins.  The high/low centerpieces were beautiful.  They were tall candelabras with hydrangea, with greenery flowing down.  The low centerpieces were white lanterns with candles inside, with small vases of flowers on the sides.  The guest book was different and I thought it was a great idea: it was an address book, and each guest filled in their name and address.  That will be so helpful in the future!

Rylee’s ‘naked’ wedding cake was unique, as it had three stacked tiers with no frosting at all on the sides.  Instead, there were strawberries and blueberries sprinkled with powdered sugar, encircling the bottom of each tier.  Dylan’s groom’s ‘cake’ wasn’t a cake at all: it was assorted donuts on a three tiered stand.  The guests loved them!

The newlyweds said they wanted the night to be a great party, and they got it.  There was dancing from the first song to the last, and the guests had a great time!  As a surprise, Rylee’s sorority sisters got her to join them on the dance floor for a special song.  For an added fun touch, the couple passed out glow necklaces to everyone.  After the last dance ended the night, the newlyweds ran through a shower of bubbles before they climbed into a vintage Rolls Royce and headed off.  Congratulations Dylan and Rylee!

Congratulations Doug and Dawn

This wedding reception had the colors of coral and steel blue, and they were so pretty together.  The guest tables had ivory floor-length linens, gold chargers, and coral napkins.  The centerpieces were arrangements of coral roses, blue hydrangea and greenery.  They were surrounded by votive candles.  To match the day’s colors, the bridesmaids wore steel blue floor-length dresses while Doug’s groomsmen wore steel blue vests and ties.

Dawn’s three tiered, stacked cake was beautiful.  It had smooth white frosting and accents of coral gum paste flowers.  Doug’s chocolate cake had white frosting with chocolate ganache dripping down the sides.  Yum!  For favors the guests received steel blue koozies, customized with Dawn and Doug’s names and wedding date.  In lieu of the traditional reception events like the toasts or a bouquet toss, this couple chose to just cut the cakes and spend the rest of the reception dancing and enjoying time with their family members and friends.  When the night came to a close, the newlyweds headed off to their new life in a vintage limousine.  Congratulations Doug and Dawn!
