Congratulations John and Lauren

This wedding reception was a bit different for us, and we loved it!  John and Lauren eloped a few months ago, so the reception was for celebrating locally with their family and friends.   Their colors were navy and sage, so the tables had navy runners with floral centerpieces of cream flowers and greenery.  The cocktail tables each had 3 vases with candles and dried flowers.  First, the reception started with cocktail hour.  Lauren (in her beautiful wedding dress) and John were there, greeting their guests.  For a unique guest book, the guests signed a blue globe with gold marker.

After the couple thanked guests for attending and had their first dance, it was fun until the end. When it was party time, we turned on our blue uplights to give the room a beautiful blue glow. This couple skipped all the traditional reception elements but that didn’t stop everyone from having a good time.  Instead of a wedding cake, they had a dessert table featuring banana pudding, cheesecake, chocolate dipped strawberries and more.  The guests loved that!  When the night came to a close after the last dance, the newlyweds headed out to continue celebrating at an after party.  Congratulations John and Lauren!

Congratulations Matthew and Stephanie

This ceremony and reception brought us to one of our favorite venues.  With the windows wrapping around the building, the view of the park, the historic details and the wood floors, it’s so pretty!  The ceremony was held inside, in front of the doors leading to the park.  The altar was a folded wood screen draped with ivory fabric, accented with a variety of gold vases filled with votive candles.   Matthew and his groomsmen wore navy suits while the bridal party wore dusty rose floor length dresses.  Stephanie carried a pretty bouquet of cream flowers and plenty of greenery.  The bridal party carried smaller bouquets of a smaller size.

The colors for the wedding were green, dusty rose, champagne and navy, and they were also reflected in the tables.  The guest tables had white floor-length linens with gold organza runners.  The centerpieces were vases filled with greenery and ivory fresh flowers.  Gold votive vases with candles surrounded the flowers.  The guest napkins were navy to match the wedding colors.

The cake had four white, stacked tiers, all with natural frosting designs.  The tiers were accented with green, ivory and pink fresh flowers.  The gold topper said Happily Ever After.  The cake was so pretty and perfect for the wedding!

After a fun night, the reception came to a close with the last dance.  The newlyweds said farewell to their friends, got into an Uber, and headed off.  Congratulations Matthew and Stephanie!
