Congratulations Zack and PJ

Just one day after freezing ice shut down many of Houston’s freeways, this wedding day dawned bright, sunny and beautiful.  The historic ballroom chosen for the Wedding and Reception was perfect for the 20’s vintage theme.  The tables had ivory floor-length linens with ivory crocheted overlays and the chairs had ivory sheer organza ties.  The high/low centerpieces consisted of brightly colored flowers surrounded by candles.  For favors, each guest got to keep their champagne glass which had a little key attached to it and a card saying “love is the key.”

PJ’s attire was perfect for the 20’s theme.  She wore a vintage style fit and flare gown of lace, with her veil held in place by a headband across her forehead.  Her bouquet was made of yellow flowers accented with brooches.  The Bridal Party wore beige vintage style dresses with lace overlays and long strings of pearls.  They carried ivory bouquets accented with brooches.  Zack and the Groomsmen wore grey tuxes with yellow boutonnieres, a perfect accent as well.

Even PJ's cake was perfect for this 20’s themed day.  It had three grey round stacked tiers featuring lacework details and yellow flowers.  For the final perfect touch to end a perfect day, after the Last Dance, the Newlyweds rode off in a horse-drawn carriage.  Congratulations to Zack and PJ!

Great Casino Night

Every year the North Galveston County Chamber of Commerce has an Awards Banquet to honor certain members and businesses, install new board members and have a great time - and this year was no different.  After a cocktail reception with live music, the guests entered the ballroom where we were playing.  The room was gorgeous and featured a Viva Las Vegas Casino Night theme.  There were GOBOS, Uplights, Casino tables, raffle prizes, a photo booth, a cake display (with our Cake Table Spots), our Dance Floor Lighting and more.  It was really fantastic!  After a seated meal and recognitions, the casino tables opened the party music began.  The members had fun until the end, when the hilarious duo of Brandy and Erin announced the prize winners.  What a great time!

Congratulations Ryan and Lauren

This cold winter day brought us to a venue with a beautiful view of a lake, fountain and golf course.  Lauren and Ryan’s wedding day colors were eggplant and charcoal grey and they were carried throughout the Reception.  The tables had grey crushed satin floor-length table cloths and the chairs had white satin covers with double ties in grey and eggplant.  There were two different styles of centerpieces: very tall silver columns holding arrangements of white hydrangeas or three candle holders in assorted heights.  Each center piece had white flower petals around the bottom as well as smaller votive candles.   To give the room a pretty glow, we had white Uplights around the room on the walls as well as columns.  We’ve never done a whole room in white Uplights and we loved how it looked!

After the Introduction, the First Dance, and dinner, we loved on to the Cake Cutting and Toasts.  Lauren’s cake had four white stacked tiers, with alternating designs and an eggplant colored ribbon around the bottom of each.  There were a few eggplant colored flowers accenting each tier and the topper consisted of silver double hearts.  Ryan, obviously a Titans fan, had a chocolate cake shaped like a football field with Tennessee Titan’s décor on top.  Pretty cool!  Another fun part of this Reception was the favors.  Each guest got a little Chick-Fil-A stuffed cow as a nod to Ryan’s job.  Who doesn’t love Chick-Fil-A?

After a fun night of food, dancing, and a toast that hilariously mentioned The Notebook, everyone joined in the Last Dance before the Newlyweds made their exit through a shower of bubbles and drove away on a chauffeur-driven golf cart.  Congratulations Ryan and Lauren!

Congratulations Andrew and Caroline

What a pretty day for such a sweet couple to get married!  The colors for this day were charcoal gray and teal, which were reflected in the Bridesmaids gowns and the mens' suits.  The flowers on the tables matched as well, and they had three styles of centerpieces: very tall vases filled with hydrangeas and orange lilies, low vases with teal rocks and candles surrounded by orange orchids, and three vases of assorted heights filled with white orchids and floating candles.  Each was surrounded by votive candles.

After the entrance and First Dance, we moved on to dinner followed by the Cake Cutting and Toasts.  Caroline’s cake had four stacked ivory tiers with asymmetrical lines around each tier.  There were a few orange orchids accenting each tier as well as making up the cake topper.  For Andrew’s cake, there were assorted desserts of key lime pie, peach cobbler or bread pudding.  The Father/Daughter Dance and Mother/Son Dance came next and the Mother/Son Dance was so funny!  They surprised the guests by doing ½ of the Napoleon Dynamite dance and it was hilarious!  After that, it was party time!

These guests loved to dance and packed the dance floor all night.  They had a blast and so did we, just watching them have fun.  The Bouquet and Garter came later, and finally we had the Last Dance of the evening.  The Newlyweds ran through a shower of bubbles, got into a chauffeur-driven golf cart and headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations Andrew and Caroline!
