Congratulations Ross and Cassie

This reception took place one week before Christmas, so the color theme of red and gold was perfect.  The table had floor-length ivory linens with red satin toppers and gold chargers.  The high-low centerpieces alternated between tall candelabras with white hydrangea and red roses, and low arrangements of the same flowers.  The venue was also decorated beautifully for Christmas, with a fully decorated Christmas tree, swags with large red bows, and wreaths.

Cassie’s three-tiered elegant white cake featured swags draping around each tier, and small rosettes and leaves.  Ross showed his love for his truck, as his chocolate cake had a picture of his red truck on top.  For a special touch that matched the December wedding, the guests were served eggnog and wassail.  There were also customized wooden ornaments for all the guests to take home and hang on their Christmas tree.

Cassie was a high school cheerleader, a college cheerleader, and is now teaching high school cheer.  So, at one point, all of her college cheer friends came out on the dance floor and did a cheer for SMU while we played their fight song.  We then did the same thing for Cassie’s high school cheer friends.  They even brought pom poms to make the cheers authentic!

This wedding had a great crowd for dancing, as the dance floor was full for most of the night.  When guests took a brief break, they enjoyed the candy buffet with everyone’s favorite types of candy.
As the night came to a close, the guests waved sparklers and pom poms as the Newlyweds made their exit to a limousine.  Congratulations Ross and Cassie!

Congratulations Cliff and Katie

This wedding reception with the colors of navy, gold and ivory was so pretty!  The tables had long floor-length ivory damask tablecloths which were topped with gold chargers.  The high/low centerpieces were tall gold candelabras with ivory hydrangea and ivory roses, and the low centerpieces were arrangements of the same flowers.  To give the reception a candlelight glow, we had amber uplights around the room.  It was all so beautiful!

Katie’s three-tiered, stacked white cake matched the elegant feel of the day, with lace designs on each tier.  A few ivory roses on the cake added the final touch.  Cliff’s two-tiered groom’s cake must have been for his alma mater, Auburn University.  The bottom tier had the word “Auburn” on it and the top tier was orange and black tiger stripes.

As a treat for the guests, there was a candy buffet of everyone’s favorite chocolate candies.  There were also custom navy and gold Koozies.  One thing I really liked at this reception was the card box: it was a real metal mailbox painted ivory with gold accents on it.   For a first for us, we did the Mannequin Challenge!  That was fun, as most of the guests participated.  This group also did an impromptu Conga line as well.

When the night came to a close after the Last Dance, the guests lined up and showered the Newlyweds with rose petals as they made their exit to a limousine.  Congratulations Cliff and Katie!

Congratulations Kyle and Maegan

This wedding reception with the colors of maroon, gold and ivory was very elegant.  The tables, which were a mixture of round and rectangular, all had ivory satin floor-length cloths.  Each table also had a gold sequin runner.  The tables were topped by gold chargers and ivory napkin with gold rings.  There were three styles of centerpieces: tall vases with large arrangements of pink and maroon flowers, low vases of pink and maroon flowers, and tall lanterns with small arrangements and candles around it.  Hanging behind the sweetheart and cake tables was a floor to ceiling drape with twinkle lights behind it.  It all came together beautifully!

Maegan’s four-tiered white, stacked cake was elegant in its simplicity.  It had nothing but tiny lines running around each tier, kind of ‘scratched’ into the buttercream.  The topper consisted of a gold initial of the couple’s last name.  Kyle’s red velvet cake was in honor of his college: it was white with the Texas A&M
logo on top.

When the dance floor opened, this couple was ready for fun!  The guests got glow necklaces and glow sticks to add to the party atmosphere.  We did the Anniversary Dance and the longest married couple in the room had been married 58 years – wow!  The husband gave great advice to the Newlyweds: “always say yes.”  That comment got plenty of laughs!

The favors consisted of maroon koozies with the couple’s names and wedding date on them.  Instead of a traditional guest book, this couple had a custom book made of their engagement photos and guests signed the pages.

After a great evening of dancing and fun, and an impromptu conga line, the night came to a close with the Last Dance.  Then, the Newlyweds departed as guests waved sparklers over their heads.  The couple then got into a limo and headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations Kyle and Maegan!
