Congratulations Andrew and Kristen

This obviously-in-love couple had their wedding at a unique location: a railroad museum.  The ceremony was held outside, in a gazebo next to vintage trains.   Inside the museum, the guests enjoyed checking out the displays during the cocktail hour.  For dinner, the guests were seated at one big, long table, which was decorated with simple elegance.  There were votive candles nestled among greenery that ran down the length of the table.  Each place setting had a gold charger and a custom menu card.

The cake was simple and elegant as well.  It had two stacked tiers and was decorated with clusters of berries.  For the guestbook, there was a custom sign with the couple’s names and wedding date on it, which guests signed.  In lieu of a formal exit, this couple opted to stay until the very end of the reception to bid farewell to their guests.  Congratulations Kristen and Andrew and enjoy your Colombian honeymoon!

Congratulations Nate and Stacy

This wedding reception, with the colors of turquoise, purple and green, had a special surprise for Nate and most of the guests.  It was perfect for the fun-loving couple.  At one point during the dancing, around 20 people showed up on the dance floor with light sabers that lit up, and they had a ‘duel.’  During the duel, we played a song from Star Wars.  Nate, Stacy, and the guests all loved it!

The guest tables had floor-length ivory linens, with centerpieces alternating between ivory lanterns sitting on wood slices, and potted orchids that some lucky guests got to take home.  Scattered around the centerpieces were small crystals in turquoise and purple, which matched the wedding colors and added a nice pop of color to the tables.

Next to the sign-in book were slices of wood that guests signed in turquoise, purple and green markers.  This was the first time we’ve seen guests sign slices of wood, and they turned out great!  Stacy’s Renaissance inspired, custom made dress was perfect.  It was made of ivory satin and was accented with blue and green Scottish plaid ribbon.  Nate’s bow tie was in a matching plaid material, as a nod to his Scottish heritage.  Stacy’s bridal party wore dresses in turquoise, green or purple, all in the colors of the day.  Stacy’s three-tiered, stacked cake also tied in with the wedding colors.  It was white, with green frosting accents and purple and blue flowers.  Nate’s chocolate three-tiered, stacked cake also had green frosting accents, along with blue and green flowers.

After a fun night, the reception came to a close with the guests waving sparklers and saying their farewells to the newlyweds.   Congratulations Nate and Stacy!
