Congratulations James and Mary

Despite the pandemic, this wedding reception had just the right amount of guests to celebrate.  The room was decorated perfectly to match the burgundy wedding color.  The tables had floor-length ivory linens topped with gold chargers and burgundy napkins.  The centerpieces consisted of potted bonsai trees and small gold vases of roses.  Candles surrounded the centerpieces and gave the room a warm glow.

Guests received unique favors: small bonsai trees.  I loved that!  The wedding cake was pretty in its simplicity.  It had three ivory, stacked tiers all frosted with natural lines.  Burgundy and ivory flowers accented the cake and made up the topper.  In lieu of the bouquet toss, Mary had five small bouquets that she gave to her nieces.  To get the dancing started, we had an Anniversary Dance.  The longest married couple had been married 53 years and they gave words of advice to Mary and James.

When the night came to a close, guests showered the newlyweds with rose petals.  The couple then drove off to their new life together.  Congratulations James and Mary!

Congratulations Trey and Chelsea

Since COVID-19 caused this couple to marry at home, they decided to later have a great party to celebrate.  Guests arrived in shorts and casual shirts, perfect for this indoor/outdoor venue.  There was a unique guest book which the guests signed: wine corks.  There were funny signs leading to the way to the reception, which reminded the guests to wear masks and wash their hands, but in a way that made them laugh.  The funniest sign was on the dessert table.  It said, “Don’t be gross, use the tongs.”  I loved it!

The centerpieces were perfect for the rustic style of the indoor/outdoor venue. The tables alternated between burlap runners or squares and they were topped with vases of baby’s breath. To encourage the guests to have fun, there were outdoor games, including corn hole.  Rather than have the traditional wedding reception elements, we just played music non-stop.  Everyone had a great time, eating, drinking, chatting and dancing.  It was perfect for this laid-back wedding reception.  Congratulations Chelsea and Trey!
