Congratulations Dalton and Candice

This wedding ceremony and reception gave us the pleasure of working with a really cute couple.  They were always sneaking kisses and it was obvious how much they were in love.  To match their wedding colors gold and ivory, there was a lighted, ivory satin backdrop for the ceremony.  Candice’s bouquet was white magnolia flowers with gold accents, which matched the flowers around the centerpieces.  The reception tables had floor-length ivory damask cloths, and the centerpieces were tall gold candelabras.  Around the candelabras were white magnolia blossoms with gold accents.  At each place setting there was a small bag of candy as a favor.  To tie all the colors of the wedding day together and give the reception a golden glow, we had our amber uplights around the room.

The three-tiered, ivory, stacked cake matched the color scheme, as it had gold brushed around the bottom of each layer.  Ivory edible flowers with gold tips ran down the front of the cake.  The cake topper was two little rabbits, the bride rabbit was carrying a bouquet and the groom rabbit had a little bow tie.  They were so cute!  There were also small rabbits decorating the couple’s sweetheart table.  I found out Candice and Dalton call each other “bunny,” so that explains the rabbits.  So sweet!

After a fun wedding, the night came to a close with the last dance.  The newlyweds ran through a shower of bubbles, climbed into a white, stretch limo, and headed off to their new life as a married couple.  Congratulations Dalton and Candice!

Congratulations Brandon and Madilynn

I have so many wonderful things to say about this sweet couple, but I’ll get down to the details or I'd write a book!.  The ceremony was held outside, in gorgeous weather.  Madilynn and Brandon wanted a Christ-centered wedding, and they did it perfectly.  During the ceremony they did a foot washing and communion.  The ceremony was held in a pergola, which they decorated with a cross and a sign saying, “We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:14.”  As the guests entered the ceremony area, they were greeted by a large sign with the couple’s names and wedding date.  As they were handed ceremony programs, they were also offered personalized coloring books and crayons for the kids.

The indoor reception followed, with the colors of burgundy and rose gold.  The tables had floor-length ivory cloths topped with burgundy napkins.  The centerpieces were three rose gold bottles holding baby's breath or a single burgundy rose.  As guests entered, they were greeted by a choice of sign-in items.  There were anniversary bottles, which consisted of five empty wine bottles, each with a year on it.  The guests were to write a message to the couple and place it into one of the bottles.  There was also a sign-in bible, where guests were to highlight their favorite scripture and write their names next to it.  There was also a black tray for guests to sign in gold marker, and a traditional photo sign in book.  For the table assignments, there were Ferrero Rocher chocolates, each with a little card stuck in it, with the guest's name.

In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, this couple did something a bit different.  They had a single small cake displayed on a rose gold pedestal for cutting.  The topper consisted of fresh flowers that matched the bouquets.  Once the cake was cut, a sweets table was opened to all the guests.  The sweets table had cupcakes, donuts and brownies.  That table was a big hit!  For a fun toast, the two best men wrote rap lyrics to a song that we played.  Then, the rest of the groomsmen joined in, singing along.

After a wonderful day of family and fun, the night came to a close with the last dance.  The couple then made their exit through lines of sparklers before driving off to their new life.  Congratulations Brandon and Madilynn, and enjoy your honeymoon in Jamaica!
