Congratulations Josh and Christina

This afternoon ceremony and reception with the wedding colors of blue and pink, was perfect for the historic venue.  The bridesmaids wore a variety of long blue dresses while the junior bridesmaids wore knee-length pink dresses.  There were three cute flower girls, all in white dresses and flower wreath crowns.  To tie in with the colors, the groomsmen all wore pink ties.  The tables tied the colors together as well, as they had blue floor-length cloths with ivory lace toppers and pink napkins sat at each place   The high/low centerpieces consisted of vases with ivory hydrangea.  For a personalized touch, each table had a framed picture of Christina and Josh.
setting.

The wedding cake matched the colors of the day, as it had three white stacked tiers with pink frosted accents and two sugar flowers decorating the front.  It was simple and pretty, perfect for this afternoon reception.  In lieu of a guestbook, this couple had something we had never seen before:  Suggestion Jars.
There was a table with empty vases, and cards in front of each saying phrases like, “First Fight,” “5 year Anniversary,” “First Baby,” and other sayings.  The guests wrote advice on the pink and blue cards to the Newlyweds and dropped the cards in the appropriate jars.  What a great idea!
One thing I must say about this wedding was how organized the groomsmen were.  They had lists of their duties, and helped out every way they could.  I’ve never seen groomsmen so detail oriented!  When it came to dancing, this bride loved to tear up the dance floor.  It was so pretty, the way her full skirt flared out around her as she twirled around.

When it came time for the exit, the couple ran through a shower of pink and white rose petals and climbed into their limo.  Congratulations Josh and Christina!

Congratulations Kelso and Haylea

This was a great wedding day, with the sweetest couple and most fun families that we could ever hope to meet.  We knew we were going to have fun, and we did!  The day started with a cabaret-style ceremony in front of a beautiful arch of flowers.  The color for this wedding was navy, and it was reflected in the wedding party.  The ladies wore floor-length navy dresses while the groomsmen wore navy vests under their tuxes.  For fun, all the members of the wedding party, including the bride and groom, wore Converse while the groomsmen wore superhero socks.

The dinner tables had ivory floor-length linens with navy pin-tuck toppers.  The high/low centerpieces alternated between tall vases with hydrangeas, and lower bird cages filled with flowers.  Kelso’s chocolate groom’s cake featured a duck hunting scene on it, although supposedly, Haylea is the better duck hunter.  Haylea’s three-tiered, stacked white cake had gorgeous brown vines with blue sugar flowers snaking down the front.  It was so pretty!

Besides the dancing fun, this couple had another way to entertain the guests: the Shoe Game.  The Maid of Honor read questions, while Kelso and Haylea held up shoes to indicate their answers.  While they didn’t match many answers, it’s still obvious that this couple will have a long, happy marriage.  When the night came to a close, everyone joined in the Last Dance before seeing the Newlyweds drive off in a restored vintage car.  Congratulations Kelso and Haylea!
