Congratulations Michael and Lindsay

This fun-loving couple had the perfect reception.  They wanted a party and they got it!  The dance floor was crowded from the first song to the last.  Michael is Scottish, so they did a dance called Stripping the Willow.  We played a Scottish song while Michael’s sister led the guests through the steps.  I don’t know if they did it perfectly, but it was awesome and everyone loved it.  At one point, one of the guests picked Michael up and spun him around.  To follow that, Michael picked up Lindsay and spun her around.  Twice, a spontaneous conga line broke out.  This was a fun-loving couple, with fun-loving guests!!

For the ballroom, they had tables with white floor-length table cloths. The centerpieces consisted of low glass vases filled with one dark red rose, greenery and candles.  The cake was so pretty.  It had white stacked tiers accented with dark red and blush roses.  The cake flowers matched the beautiful bouquets.  For a unique guest book, the guests wrote notes to the couple on Jenga blocks.

After the last dance for everyone, followed by a private last dance for the newlyweds, the couple made their exit as the guests blew bubbles.  Congratulations Michael and Lindsay!

We Had Fun at a Casino Night

Every year, we have the privilege of working with Mainland Bank at their Preferred Customer Banquet.  Each year there is a theme, with matching linens and centerpieces.  This year’s theme was Mardi Gras, so the linens and centerpieces were green, purple and gold.  The guests were given Mardi Gras beads and fun headbands to wear.  After an amazing buffet, the casino tables and slot machines opened.  The customers love the gambling tables and they’re always a hit.  Then, as the night winds down, there are prize drawings for awesome gifts.  This banquet is always well planned and well liked.  Great job by Mainland Bank, and we hope to see you next year!

Congratulations Dylan and Julianna

This wedding reception had us working with the sweetest couple.  They had a great group of family and friends and it was obvious how happy they were for Julianna and Dylan.  When decorating the ballroom, they kept the decor to a minimum, which allowed the beauty of the room to shine.  Their wedding colors were eucalyptus and sand, which complemented the room as well.  The tables had floor-length sand colored linens and were topped by fresh eucalyptus stems with candles in the middle.  To tie in with the décor and centerpieces, Julianna’s bouquet was entirely made up of greenery, including eucalyptus.  It was so pretty!

There were many details in this reception that I liked.  There was bible for guests to highlight their favorite scriptures.  There were slips of paper with eucalyptus colored ribbons for guests to write on.  They wrote notes for the couple to read on their first wedding anniversary.  For favors, there were cards with seeds pressed into small hearts.  The cards were personalized with Dylan and Julianna’s names and wedding date.  All the guests need to do is put the heart in soil, water it and watch it grow. To round it out, instead of a traditional wedding cake, this couple opted for a variety of pies.  The guests loved them!

After an evening of dancing and fun, the night came to a close.  The newlyweds made their exit and headed off to their new life as a married couple.  Congratulations Dylan and Julianna!
