Congratulations Cade and Tamara

This more intimate wedding Ceremony and Reception was perfect for this obviously in love bride and groom.  While they had most of the traditional elements of a wedding, they also had plenty of time to spend with their family and friends. The colors for this wedding were navy and silver, and they were carried out perfectly.  Tamara and Cade got married in front of an arch dripping with ivory flowers.  The Bridal party wore navy gowns, each slightly different from the rest, and they carried bouquets of ivory and blue flowers.  The Groomsmen all wore grey tuxes with navy vests, while Cade had a white vest and tie.  There was something unique at this Ceremony that we had never seen before: a Glass Ceremony.  Cade and Tamara each poured small glass crystals into a larger glass bottle.  Later, the couple will send the crystals to a glass blower that uses them to create a custom sculpture, vase or bowl.

For the Reception, the tables had ivory floor length cloths with navy and silver runners.  The centerpieces consisted of ivory and blue flowers surrounded by candles.  After dinner, it was time for the toasts and cake cutting.  The ivory cake consisted of three stacked tiers, each accented with ivory flowers.  It perfectly matched the elegance of the day.  After that, the dance floor was open to all.  The Bouquet and Garter came later, and then the dancing and mingling continued until the end of the Reception.  When the Newlyweds made their exit, they ran (and kissed) under an arch of sparklers before climbing into a horse drawn carriage and heading off into the night.  Congratulations Cade and Tamara!

Congratulations Reece and Katrina

This wedding Reception was extra special to us, as we DJ’d the Reception for Reece’s sister a few years ago.  It was really awesome to hear that the past bride and groom now have newborn twins!  That’s one of the aspects we really like when it comes to working with the same families more than once: we get to see past clients again and hear about all the changes in their lives since we last spoke.

For this wedding, the colors were taupe, blush and champagne, and the Reception was gorgeous!  The tables had ivory satin floor-length cloths and the surrounding chairs had taupe satin covers with bling accents where they tied.  The centerpieces alternated between vases of ivory flowers and clear vases holding candles.  Each table had a gold sequined runner, which matched the floor-length sequined runners on the cake tables and the sweet heart table.  Even Katrina’s gown matched the colors of the day, as it was a gorgeous taupe/blush color.  For an elegant touch that matched the wedding day colors, we had soft pink Uplights highlighting the room.  Everything at this wedding tied together beautifully.

Katrina’s five-tiered cake was a ‘naked cake’, meaning it had little to no frosting on the outside.  It was the first time we’ve seen this at a wedding and we loved it!  The rose décor on the cake was very minimal, as there was one ivory rose on the bottom tier and two ivory roses making up the topper.  The cake was very elegant with its simplicity.  Reece’s two-tiered red velvet cake was covered with white frosting and had chocolate ganache dripping down each layer.  The cake was accented with chocolate covered strawberries.

For the favors, there was a table holding beautifully decorated cookies shaped like hearts and wedding cakes.  Those cookies went fast and there were very few left by the end of the night.  There were also custom koozies with Katrina and Reece’s names and wedding date on them.  To help the guests have even more fun memories of the night, we had a photo booth for all to enjoy, and they loved it!

After a great evening of dancing and fun including the Grand March, the Reception came to a close with the Last Dance.  The guests then lined up and showered the Newlyweds with bubbles as they headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations Reece and Katrina!
