Despite the rainstorm that caused the ceremony to be moved
indoors, this was a fantastic wedding!
The ceremony took place inside the historic building, in front of a wall
of windows. Tyler and her bridal party wore
floor-length white dresses and carried bouquets of white flowers and
greenery. Kyle and his groomsmen wore
beige tuxes and vests with white shirts.
They all wore soft green vests and ties.
The colors of the day were white and green, so the wedding party looked
perfect. One aspect of the wedding that
I liked was the guest’s attire. They
were asked to wear white, and they all did.
It’s so unusual to see guests wear white to a wedding but I really liked
the look. There was a unique accent to
the ceremony that we hadn’t seen before: instead of a unity ceremony, the couple
added dirt to a potted plant that they will later plant at their home.
The reception tables matched the colors of the day with
their white floor-length cloths. They
all had burlap runners, with a wood slice in the center. Each place setting had a gold charger, which
matched the gold cake stands. The
flowers that lined the ceremony aisle were repurposed to serve as centerpieces,
where they sat on the wood slices.
Tyler’s three-tiered, white, stacked cake was elegant in its
simplicity. Each tier was smooth, and
the only accents were three white roses and greenery on the middle tier. Kyle’s chocolate groom’s cake had chocolate
ganache drizzled down the sides.
When it came time for dancing, this group was fun! They all flew in from out of state, and they
came to have a great time! There was
nonstop dancing from the first song to the last. We had so much fun just watching them! Sadly, the night had to come to a close with the
last dance. Instead of a formal exit, the
newlyweds chose to stay and say farewell to their guests. Congratulations Kyle and Tyler!
