This Reception, with the colors of aqua and peach pink with
beach accents, was perfect for the historic B&B in Galveston. The dinner tables had floor-length ivory
table cloths with aqua satin runners.
The centerpieces consisted of vases filled with sand and sea shells. To tie in with the beach-theme, Lindsey and
her Bridal Party carried hand-made bouquets of seashells. The members of the Bridal Party each wore a
peach dress of their choosing while Scott and his Groomsmen wore khaki suits
with aqua ties and seashell boutonnieres.
Lindsey’s ombre cake was so pretty and matched the colors
perfectly. It had three stacked tiers
that started out aqua and faded into a peach pink. The topper said “Better Together” and had the
couples’ last name and wedding date on it.
Scott’s chocolate two-tiered groom’s cake had longhorns on the sides
with the UT logo as the topper. The couple
even had an engraved cake server and fork set, with the forks saying “I do” and
“Me too.” Cute! For another sweet treat for their guests,
there was a candy buffet in shades of peach pink and aqua. For a fun twist, instead of a traditional
guest book, this couple had the guests fill out Mad Lib cards.
After a fun evening of dancing (even though it was a smaller
wedding, there was a LOT of dancing!) and visiting with guests, the Reception
came to a close with the Last Dance.
Then, the Newlyweds ran through a line of guests waving wedding wands,
climbed into their car and headed off to their new life as a married
couple. Congratulations Scott and
Lindsey!
