This Reception brought us to a beautiful venue with a view
over a harbor, and with the wedding day colors of blue and white, it was
perfect. The tables had floor-length
white tablecloths with alternating high/low centerpieces of blue hydrangeas
surrounded by candles. The chairs had
white covers with silver organza ties.
After the pretty outdoor ceremony overlooking the water, the couple came
inside to be introduced in and enjoy their First Dance. Then the guests enjoyed
a delicious meal followed by the toast and cake cutting.
The cake had three stacked white tiers, each with a blue
nautical striped ribbon around the bottom.
A few hydrangeas accented each tier and made up the topper. The perfect accent was the two little
sailboats perched on the middle tier.
How cute! Then, to open the dance floor, Emily shared a
dance with her son before John and his daughter joined them. We invited everyone to join in and the party
was started! Later we did the Anniversary
Dance and the longest married couple in the room had been married 34 years –
how wonderful!
The party (Including a conga line lead by Emily and a line
dance led by Emily and John!) continued until the Last Dance and then the
Newlyweds ran to their limousine under a shower of bubbles. Congratulations John and Emily!
