This wedding had a roaring 20’s, unique feel and the guests really got into it. Vonnie’s dress was a 20’s style ivory slip dress and she wore an amazing 20’s style headband and veil. Most of the guests wore similar attire, with the women in 20’s dresses and feathered headpieces or hats. The guys also got into it, wearing suspenders and hats. The centerpieces and décor matched the theme as well. Each table featured an assortment of vintage accessories, including books, candles, flowers, vases, pearls, you name it. They really came together nicely. Our photo booth even matched, with an art deco style backdrop and photo strips.
During the ceremony there were a few special touches. Vonnie’s father played the ceremony music on his guitar, and the couple did a handfasting. Following the ceremony, there was a receiving line before the guests entered the ballroom. During dancing, we did an Anniversary Dance. The longest married couple in the room was married 34 years, and their advice to Hayden and Vonnie included, “respect each other” and “never go to bed mad.” Sounds like good advice to me!
After a night of fun, dancing, and a private last dance, the newlyweds made their exit through a tunnel of guests waving ribbon wands. It was a perfect night. Congratulations Hayden and Vonnie!
