When the guests entered the reception, they signed their names in a guest book with a customized wood cover. There was a table covered in vintage post cards, which guests used to write messages to the newlyweds. The display holding table assignments consisted of a framed board covered in moss. There were hooks on the board, holding old-fashioned keys. Each key had the guest’s name and table number on it. I can’t describe it well but it was really cool. There was a sign in the middle of the board that said, in a Hobbit inspired font, “No admittance except on party business.” To add a unique touch and bring the couple’s mothers into the wedding day, both Taunie and Tyler had their mother’s wedding gowns displayed on mannequins.
The guest’s tables were perfect for the enchanted
forest/elves/fairies/Hobbits feel of the day.
They all had ivory floor-length table cloths topped by gold
chargers. The table numbers were made of
wood slices. The high/low centerpieces
alternated between tall gold candelabras with white flowers and greenery
flowing down, and three candles nestled in moss on wood slices. To
give the room a golden glow, we had our uplights highlighting the walls.
Taunie’s three tiered, stacked white wedding cake matched
the theme perfectly. It had natural
frosting lines and greenery on each tier.
The cake sat on a plateau made of wood accented with moss and
greenery. Tyler’s chocolate cake was
frosted in white with chocolate ganache dripping down the sides.
There was a unique detail that we’ve never seen before for
the exit: the guests lined up waving
balloons that were tied to a stick, and each balloon had a tiny LED light inside
of it. There were gold metallic streamers tied around the sticks. The balloons looked great! Taunie and Tyler danced their last dance, ran
though the guests, climbed into a white vintage limo and headed off to their
new life together. Congratulations Tyler
and Taunie!
