This reception, featuring the colors of royal blue, hot pink
and green was so pretty! The tables had
floor-length mint colored satin tablecloths with greenery and bud vases of
flowers around the centerpieces. The
high/low centerpieces consisted of tall or short lanterns filled with lights. To match the wedding color scheme, the cake
had three white stacked tiers, each with a royal blue ribbon around the
bottom. Each tier had different patterns
of frosting, with the couples’ initials in a heart on the top tier. The For a
personal touch, the couple had a cake knife and server set engraved with their
names. The cake sat on a rustic-looking
wood stand, with the phrase, “Love is sweet” on the front. For other rustic décor, the card box was a
rustic wood trunk with Daniel and Samantha’s monogram on the front and the word
“cards” hanging on it. Instead of a
traditional guest book, there was a board with their names and
wedding date on it, which the guests signed.
To showcase pictures of themselves, there was a wood pallet with the
couple’s initials in metal on it and childhood pictures leaning against the
pallet. On the bar, there was a rustic
wood basket holding custom Koozies.
topper was a clear glass heart with their
last name initial in the center.
For a sweet treat for the guests, this couple had a
combination cheesecake/candy buffet.
Those cheesecakes went fast! For
an extra special touch, we projected a GOBO monogram of the couples’ names and
wedding date on the dance floor. I love
the way GOBOs look! To kick off the
dancing portion of the reception, there was a Grand March, which got everyone up
and on the dance floor. At one point in the evening, Samantha
changed out of her wedding dress into a cute, short. white, lace dress and
white sneakers. I loved the look! Comfortable in her new dress, Samantha danced
the night away, just like the guests.
This couple said they wanted a long reception with dancing until the
end, and they got it: the dance floor was never empty! At one point, someone put Samantha and Daniel
in chairs on the dance floor, and guests started dancing around them, making it
rain. Near the end of the reception,
someone held up a lit, metal sign that said, “love” and it was passed around
the dance floor. Too funny! This reception was a dance party!
After a great night of fun and dancing, the reception came
to a close with an upbeat last dance.
The newlyweds then ran through a line of sparklers and headed off to their
new life as a married couple.
Congratulations Daniel and Samantha!
