This beautiful spring day was perfect for an outdoor
ceremony followed by an indoor reception.
The colors for this wedding were navy and lavender and they were carried
out in a variety of ways. The bridesmaid’s
dresses were navy and they all carried pretty bouquets of lavender and
cream. The reception tables had white
linens with lavender lace runners topped by centerpieces of lavender and cream
flowers. To give the reception a
candlelight glow, we had amber Uplights around the room.
The wedding cake was a bit different from usual, as it was
cake balls displayed on platters. There
was one small traditional cake for Joey and Iris to cut, but the guests were
then served the cake balls with ice cream.
Who doesn’t love ice cream? There
were a few things at this wedding reception I’ve never seen: some of the liquor
bottles were personalized with the newlywed’s names. For a
passed appetizer, there were mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They were a hit!
After an evening of fun, the night came to an end with the
newlyweds saying farewell to their guests.
