This wedding reception brought us to a gorgeous third floor historic
ballroom in Galveston where we’ve never played.
We loved the exposed brick walls of the room and views over The
Strand. The colors for this wedding were
green with accents of purple and they were reflected in the centerpieces, which
consisted of assorted colored wine bottles with one bottle in the center
holding white and purple flowers.
Julia’s cake had three white stacked tiers with edible
seashells accenting the tiers and making up the topper. Colin’s cake was in the shape of blue
Hawaiian shirt with orange palm trees and Houston Astros designs. It was cool!
This couple opted to not do a Bouquet or Garter and instead did an
Anniversary Dance. The longest married
couple in the room had been married 55 years, and Julia and Colin presented
them with a beautiful bouquet.
When the night came to a close, the guests enjoyed the Last
Dance before the Newlyweds bid them all farewell and headed off to their new
life as a married couple.
Congratulations Colin and Julia!
