A December wedding with the colors of ice blue and silver is sure to be pretty, but this reception was gorgeous! The tables had floor-length white table cloths topped with long, silvery grey satin overlays. The chairs had matching silver/grey satin covers with ice blue sashes. The high/low centerpieces consisted of three styles: tall glass vases holding blue and ivory hydrangeas with tall branches hung with crystals, tall Eiffel tower vases with blue hydrangeas and ivory orchids and a blue and ivory hydrangea wreath around the bottom, or shorter silver vases holding blue and ivory hydrangeas. Of course, each centerpiece was surrounded by votive candles. To tie all the colors together, we had turquoise blue Uplights around the whole room. It was all so beautiful!
After
the entrance into the Reception, Billy Joe and Maddie went to the dance floor,
which we adorned with their custom wedding monogram, for their First
Dance. (Their monogram was also on their
invitations, programs, and napkins.) The
dinner buffet came next, as well as the cake cutting and toasts. Maddie’s four-tiered ivory cake had natural frosting
lines and was accented with blue and ivory flowers. Billy Joe’s chocolate cake had chocolate
frosting and chocolate covered strawberries.
The parents’ dances followed and then it was party time! Our dance floor lighting also added to the
mood of the evening, which was great for this fun-loving crowd.
After a
bit we stopped for the Dollar Dance. This
couple asked for no more than one dollar from each guest, as their focus was on
dancing with their guests and not on the money.
That was a very sweet gesture.
The bouquet and garter tosses came later and everyone danced until the Last
Dance. At the end of the evening, the
Newlyweds ran through lines of sparklers, climbed in to their vintage limo, and
enjoyed their own personal police escort to their wedding night hotel. Congratulations Billy Joe and Maddie!
