This Ceremony and Reception featured the colors of black,
white and red, which were perfect for the 50’s feel. We had two red Uplights
accenting the Ceremony, which were a great accent. The Bridal Party wore black
and red with the Bridesmaids looking fantastic in their 50’s style black polka
dot dresses with red sashes.
Following the Ceremony, the guests moved over to the
Reception. The toasts followed dinner with the guests enjoying champagne in red
glasses. The cake cutting came next. Connie’s cake had three white, square,
stacked tiers with black accents and it matched the day perfectly. Kenneth’s
cake was funny: it was a skull with red flowers for eyes. I asked him what it
represented, and he said, “I like skulls.” LOL Kenneth and Connie also did
something unique during the Reception called a Wine Box Ceremony. There was a
bottle of wine in the box and the Newlyweds added the toasting glasses they
used for their toast. They also wrote a love letter to each other which was
locked in the box. They will open it on their first anniversary, share the wine
and read the letters.
With no Bouquet or Garter, the guests got to dance, chat and
visit with each other until the end of the evening. Connie and Kenneth ran
through sparklers and got into a 1930 fully restored Ford Model A. It was
gorgeous and a wonderful way to end the night! Congratulations Kenneth and
Connie!
