Congratulations Mark and Bridgette

This home wedding was so well planned and put together! The couple just built a new home on the shores of Lake Livingston, so the lake made a perfect backdrop for the ceremony, which was held on the back lawn. The wedding colors were white, off-white and champagne and they were tied in beautifully with everything.

The ceremony backdrop was an arch covered in white fabric accented with white and yellow flowers. The bridesmaids wore gold dresses and carried bouquets of white and yellow flowers. Mark wore a black tux while his groomsmen wore black pants, white shirts and bow ties. For the reception, Bridgette changed into the cutest pink blinged sneakers.

After the ceremony, the guests moved the front of the house for the reception. The reception area was under a white tent. The tables had white cloths and centerpieces of white and yellow flowers. Every other table had a gold sequined overlay while each table had cards for guests to write advice to the newlyweds. The place settings all had gold keys tied with cards that said, “The key to happiness is love.”

We met this couple because we had the pleasure of providing DJ services at Mark’s twin brother Jeff’s wedding 16 years ago. It was so fun to see him and his wife again! Not only that, when Jeff made his toast, he gave celebrity names to couples who were present, and he even included us! Ferdy and I are now known to this family as Ferndy.

The one-tiered wedding cake was white with white flowers. When the couple did the cake cutting, Bridgette did a bit of smashing in Mark’s face! He took it in stride and the couple had a good laugh.  Bridgette made the cake herself, the night before the wedding, and you never would have known. The money dance followed before the dance floor was open to everyone. Do you want to know how fun this couple is? Near the end of the reception, they jumped in the lake in their wedding attire! They then changed their clothes, came back to the reception, and kept dancing. You know everyone’s having fun when you have three hours of overtime!

It was the perfect day with perfect weather, an amazing view, and the wedding couldn’t have been better. Congratulations Mark and Bridgette and enjoy your honeymoon cruise!

Congratulations Matt and Chrissy

This wedding reception was beautiful, elegant, and fun! When the guests arrived, they were greeted with our custom gold welcome mirror. For the message-in-a-bottle guest book (the reception had a slight beach theme since the couple got married on the beach), the guests signed small sheets of paper, rolled them up, put gold rings around the rolls, and dropped them in a bottle. They then found their table assignments on another gold sign.

The colors of the wedding were dusty blue, gold, white and ivory. The tables had floor-length white cloths topped by gold chargers. At the center of each charger was a dusty blue napkin in a gold ring. The centerpieces varied between three styles: tall vases with arrangements of white hydrangea, low vases with white hydrangeas, and a trio of vases holding candles. Around each centerpiece there were seashells with the guest’s names on them. To give the room a gorgeous glow, we had our amber uplights shining up the pillars. The effect was awesome!

For a personal touch, we had a GOBO monogram projecting the couple’s names and wedding date on the wall. That made for a great photo spot! We also had our photo booth there, so the guests could take a lot of fun pictures.

The delicious cakes were quickly eaten by the guests. Chrissy’s three-tiered, stacked, white cake had elegant white designs on each tier and the whole thing was accented by white flowers. Both Chrissy and Matt’s cakes were on gold stands, to match the wedding colors.

In lieu of a bouquet or garter toss, this couple opted to throw souvenir Galveston t-shirts and stuffed animals. We called all the guest to the floor, gave Matt and Chrissy a count of three and they began tossing goodies The guests were jumping to catch something and it was so funny! After those were all tossed, the newlyweds tossed out glow sticks and glow rings. That really cranked up the dancing and our dance lights added to the party!

To give the guests another special treat, there was a late-night snack of Taco Cabana breakfast tacos. Those were a hit! When the night came to a close, everyone joined in for a fun last dance before the newlyweds bid their guests farewell.  Congratulations Matt and Chrissy, it was a pleasure being part of your wedding!
