Congratulations Thomas and Ofelia

This Marine/Fire Fighter wedding was amazing!  The ceremony was to be held outdoors, but the cold weather forced it inside.  That didn’t bother the couple a bit and the indoor ceremony was still beautiful.    Thomas was handsome in his Marine dress blues while Ofelia wore a tea length, lace dress with blue satin shoes.  The bridal party wore an assortment of royal blue dresses while the groomsmen wore black tuxes with royal blue ties.  There was a dog there, wearing a Marine dress blues-type outfit.  I don’t know what his role in the wedding was, but he was so cute!  Ofelia and Thomas’ fire fighter friends lined the aisle as they headed to the altar and then the fire fighters stood across the back of the room.   When it was time for their exit from the ceremony, the couple went outside to make an exit with a fire engine!  How many times do you see that at a wedding?  During the fire truck exit, the guests waved maracas, which were on the ceremony chairs.

The color for this wedding was royal blue, and it was tied in perfectly.  The tables had floor-length white cloths and royal blue satin runners.  The centerpieces had white flowers in vases, with royal blue ribbons tied around them.  Those flowers matched the ceremony aisle décor: white flowers tied with royal blue ribbon.  For the guestbook, there was a wood board with the Ofelia and Thomas’ names and wedding date on it.  Guests signed in white or gold marker and the newlyweds can hang it in their home.  For favors, there were bags filled with Hershey kisses and a tag that said, “Love is sweet.”

Ofelia’s 3-tiered white, stacked wedding cake was so pretty.  The tiers all had natural frosting lines, and there were white flowers accenting the tiers and making up the topper.  Thomas’ groom’s cakes were awesome!  One had the Marine’s logo on it and the other had the fire fighter logo on top, with red and yellow frosting ‘fire’ going up the sides.  When cutting the groom’s cakes, Thomas jokingly brought out an axe before they cut the cakes with his Marine sword.  There were also two stands of cookies on the table, and the guests loved those as well.
For another way to keep the guests entertained, we had our photo booth (with a royal blue backdrop, of course).  They all had fun in there!  When the reception ended, the newlyweds exited into the hotel’s car and headed off.  Congratulations Thomas and Cecilia!
