Congratulations Andy and Jo

There is nothing like holding your union on the 1877 tall ship Elissa and your reception on Pier 21. While Jo and Andy were saying their vows in front the ship’s wheel, one of the nearby cruise ships departed and the passengers were waving and cheering for them! Jo’s soft pink dress with lace and beading was perfect for the day and she topped it with a pink floral wreath in her hair. The dinner tables had floor-length white tablecloths, with beautiful, pink, lace overlays and pink napkins.  The centerpieces were so pretty, with white and pink hydrangea accented with pink lilies. After a delicious dinner, the couple cut their cake. It was half chocolate and half vanilla, with a topper of a red motorcycle with a bride and groom on top. That was so cute! After enjoying the cake, music, and fun, the night came to close when Jo and Andy said farewell to their guests. Congratulations Andy and Jo!

Congratulations Gabriel and Lauren

This wedding reception was held in one of the prettiest church halls we’ve ever worked in: St. Helen in Pearland. It has tall ceilings with exposed beams and floor to ceiling, stained glass windows along two walls. To create a beautiful ambience and match the wedding colors of lavender and gold, we had our purple uplights lining the walls. That allowed us to turn off the overhead lights and create the right mood for the night. For the final touch, we had a beautiful GOBO monogram with Lauren and Gabriel’s names on the dance floor.

To go with the wedding colors, the guest’s tables had tablecloths alternating between white satin and gold sequin. The centerpieces alternated between lavender flowers and candles. All the chairs had white satin covers with gold sequin ties. It was very elegant. Behind the sweetheart table, there was beautiful pipe and drape at least 30 feet long. It had white satin and gold sequin fabric accented with cascading white and lavender flowers. In front of the pipe and drape there was a 7’ gold hoop arch draped in white flowers. They did a great job tying their wedding colors into their decor!

For a unique surprise for the guests, a taco truck showed up, serving made to order tacos and quesadillas. That was a hit! When the night came to a close after the last dance, Lauren and Gabriel chose to stay and say farewell to their guests before heading off. Congratulations Gabriel and Lauren!

Congratulations Chris and Loghan

Dusty blue and spring colors were perfect for this spring wedding.  First, the ceremony was held outside, with Chris’ father being the officiant. The bridal party wore floor-length dusty blue dresses while the groomsmen wore navy suits. All the flowers were in spring colors, and they were so pretty!  The guests entered the reception to find their table assignments displayed on a large mirror. The tables had floor length tablecloths with dusty blue runners and were topped by centerpieces with spring flowers and candles.

Loghan’s four-tiered, stacked, white cake was accented with spring flowers. Chris’ chocolate cake showed his love for basketball, the Houston Rockets, music, God and poker. What a mix!  To give a beautiful glow to the reception, we had our amber uplights around the room and behind the cakes. When it was dance time, the dance floor was packed from the first song to the last.  There were people jumping up and down, singing along, doing line dances, you name it. At one point, the groomsmen were tossing Chris in the air. They never stopped dancing!  When they weren’t dancing, they were taking hilarious pictures in our photo booth.  After the last dance, the newlyweds made their exit through a tunnel of sparklers. Congratulations Loghan and Chris!
