Congratulations Pepper and Jené

Pepper and Jené wanted a fun, beachy wedding and they did it perfectly.  To start, they held their touching outdoor ceremony on the venue’s patio, which overlooks Galveston.  They had a geometric ‘arch’ behind them, decorated with tropical flowers.  To match their teal, coral and grey color scheme, Pepper wore a teal shirt while Jené wore a coral shirt.  Jené’s Matron of Honor wore a coral dress while Pepper’s Best Person wore a tropical floral print dress.  Instead of holding flowers, the newlyweds, along with the wedding party, wore leis that matched the wedding colors.  To go along with the beach theme, the couple did a sand ceremony and a shell ceremony.  I’ve never seen the shell ceremony before, and I really liked it.  Each guest arriving at the ceremony was given a shell with a word written on it.  Then, one by one, they approached the couple and spoke about the word and how it will affect their relationship.  It may take some time but it’s a beautiful way to share a brief moment with the couple and wish them well.

The guests arrived at the venue to find fun items that matched the wedding.  There were custom bags for each guest that contained a custom koozie, a flip flop bottle opener and candy.  Due to COVID, they also had custom grey masks for everyone.  I loved their guestbook!  It was a wood turtle drop box.  On the table, there were small, wood, coral, teal and grey fish and seashell shapes.  The guest signed a shape and dropped it in the turtle drop box.  It will look amazing on the wall of the newlywed’s home.  On the way into the ballroom, we had our two-foot marquee LOVE letters welcoming the guests.  Those looked awesome!

The ballroom was decorated perfectly to match the theme.  The tables had floor-length white tablecloths and were topped by vases holding sand, seashells, and candles.  There were also orchids around the vases.  On the cocktail tables near the bar, there were beachy lanterns with sand, candles and teal and coral ribbons.   To create an ‘under the sea’ look, we had turquoise uplights lighting up the whole ballroom. They looked beautiful!

Jené and Pepper’s wedding cake was a hit!  It had three, stacked, white tiers, each tier with coral designs in coral and teal colored frosting.  There were also white chocolate seashells on the tiers and a “you and me” wood cake topper.  To match the wedding colors, there were also coral and teal-colored napkins on the cake table.  To top it off, their toasting glasses had wood hearts tied to the stem, with Pepper and Jené’s initials and wedding date. The same style of wood hearts adorned the cake knife and server set.  This couple thought of everything!

When it comes to fun, this crowd had a great time.  They danced to all type of music, from Oldies to Pop to Country.  When not dancing, they were having fun in our photo booth and the pictures came out great!  As for the meaning behind the custom “slow down” photo booth sign?  You had to be at the rehearsal.  So funny!  When the night came to a close, the newlyweds stayed to the end to say farewell to their guests.  Congratulations Pepper and Jené

Congratulations Blake and Tiffany

This spring wedding featured the colors of navy, dusty blue and silver and it was so pretty!  The tables had navy floor length linens and were topped with silver chargers and dusty blue napkins.  The high/low centerpieces featured white hydrangea and greenery in low arrangements or in tall vases.  For favors, there were personalized candles at each place setting.

Tiffany and Blake wanted their guests to have a great time and they did!  They enjoyed a variety of music and waved glowsticks while dancing.   Our blue uplights around the room combined with our dance floor lighting set the stage for a fun night.  I don’t think Tiffany ever left the dance floor!  We also did an Anniversary Dance at this wedding and the longest married couple had been married for 41 years - that is so inspirational!

When the night came to a close, guests waved glowsticks as the newlyweds made their way to their limousine.  Congratulations Blake and Tiffany!

Congratulations Karla and Robert

This pretty spring day brought us to one of our favorite venues for a wedding.  The outdoor ceremony was held in a pergola draped in white fabric.  To go with the wedding colors of mauve, white and eucalyptus green, the bridesmaids wore mauve dresses while the bridesmen wore mauve suits.

Following the ceremony, guests went inside for the reception.  In lieu of a guest book, these guests signed Jenga tiles for the couple to later play with.  To match the wedding colors, the tables had white floor-length cloths topped with centerpieces of white roses and eucalyptus.  The place settings had gold chargers with mauve napkins and each place had a gold box of candy as a gift to the guest.  The three-tiered, 'naked' Italian crème wedding cake had simple décor consisting of a few white roses.  To match the wedding colors, the cake was on a gold stand.  To allow us to dim the lights and create a party atmosphere, we had white uplights around the room with pale pink on the stage.

We played a real variety of music for this wedding. From Pop to Country to Hip Hop to 90s and everything else, they liked it all.  There was lots of dancing, singing, and just plain being goofy.   This is one of those unusual weddings were the groomsmen out-danced the bridesmaids.  They were on the floor all night long!  At one  point, they asked for Country Roads by John Denver.  Sure enough, they were on the dance floor singing and dancing along.

When the night came to an end, the newlyweds shared a last dance before running through bubbles, climbing in a limo and heading off to their new life. Congratulations Robert and Karla!
