Congratulations James and Hannah

This wedding ceremony and reception, with the colors of forest green, champagne and gold was very elegant.  The tables had champagne/gold floor-length table cloths and each place setting had a thank you note from the newlyweds.  There were a variety of centerpieces: lanterns, vases with floating candles, potted plants, and more.  They were all surrounded by votive candles and they came together perfectly.

The ceremony was held inside due to the weather, but it was still beautiful.  With the glass windows making up the backdrop, it was gorgeous.  After the ceremony, the wedding party went out to take photos while the guests enjoyed the popcorn bar.  There were four varieties of popcorn and custom boxes that said “thanks for poppin’ by.”  Cute!

Hannah’s two-tiered, stacked, white cake was pretty in its simplicity.  It had natural frosting lines and was topped with fresh flowers.   James’ cake was something we had never seen before: it was tiers of stacked, large cookies, from 12” on the bottom to around 8” at the top.  Fresh flowers made up the topper.  Basically, it was a stacked cookie wedding cake!  There was frosting between each cookie layer and the guests loved it.

When it came to dancing, this crowd was fun!  From the first song to the last, it was non-stop.  They were singing along, jumping up and down, you name it.  At one point, a spontaneous Conga line broke out!  There was a guest on the dance floor with a GoPro and I bet he got some hilarious footage!

There were a lot of details at this wedding that I really liked.  Instead of a child being the flower girl, it was a grown woman, tossing petals out of a basket.  How fun!  Near the bar, there were Hangover Kits in small bags.  They held Advil, gum, a bottle of water and other items.  We haven’t seen that before and it’s a great idea.  For the favors, the guests got small Texas-shaped wood ornaments.  They were customized with James and Hannah’s names and the wedding date.  Those favors were perfect for the guests, as most of them were from Nebraska.

When it came time to end the night, the newlyweds stayed to say farewell to their guests before leaving.  Congratulations James and Hannah!
