Congratulations Juan and Paige

This wedding reception had us working with the sweetest couple!  They chose the colors of coral and gold for their wedding and it was beautiful.  The tables had ivory floor-length linens topped by ivory rosette satin overlays and coral satin runners.  The chiavari chairs had coral satin ties and there were gold chargers at each place setting.  The centerpieces were tall gold candelabras, alternating with coral or ivory roses.  There was a tall arch in front of the door leading into the ballroom, and it was decorated with greenery, coral flowers and ivory flowers.

When the guests arrived, they saw a large floral sign with their table assignments.   There were also small note cards for guests to write notes of well wishes to the newlyweds.  In lieu of a traditional guest book, there were two matted pictures of Juan and Paige, and guests signed their names on the mats.  The three-tiered, stacked wedding cake was perfect for this wedding.  It was all white, with simple frosting lines.  Each tier was accented with coral flowers and the topper was gold letters saying, “Best day ever.”  There were also cupcakes, frosted in white or coral, surrounding the cake.  There was a special surprise for the mother/son dance: Juan’s mother came out dressed in a traditional Mexican folkloric dress, while Juan wore some of the men’s traditional folkloric Mexican attire.  That was a first for us and everyone loved their dance!

When it came to dancing, this crowd was fun!  They showed that you can have a lot of dancing, even on a Thursday night, and with no alcohol!  They danced to Pop, Oldies, Spanish, Country, you name it.  At one point, every person in the room was on the dance floor except for one - such a great group!  When the night came to a close, the newlyweds ran through a shower of bubbles and headed off to their new life as a married couple.  Congratulations Juan and Paige!

Congratulations Jamie and Sara

This ballroom overlooking the beach was perfect for the couple’s fun wedding reception, which featured the colors of blush, gold, ivory and black.  The tables had ivory floor length linens, topped with gold chargers and ivory napkins.  The centerpieces consisted of candles in glass vases.  When the guests arrived, they found their assigned tables on a large customized mirror.  There were custom coloring books and crayons for the kids at the wedding.

The wedding flowers matched the colors of the day, as they had ivory and blush flowers.  Sara’s three-tiered, ivory, stacked cake had natural frosting lines and was accented with blush roses.  In lieu of a traditional groom’s cake, Jamie opted for cupcakes in a variety of flavors.  The couple had engraved cake forks that said, “I do” and “Me too” on them.  The cake server had “Just married” on it.  Too cute!

When it came to dancing, this crowd was fun!  They were singing along to the music and waving their hands in the air.  We saw one guest do the worm, and at one point, there was a spontaneous Conga line with Sara in the lead!  After the last dance ended the evening, the guests lined up outside to shower the newlyweds with rose bud and lavender potpourri.  Congratulations Jamie and Sara!

Congratulations Dennis and Jackie

This wedding ceremony and reception, featuring the color of pink, had a lot of unique touches that made it personal to Jackie and Dennis.  The guest tables had floor-length white cloths that were topped with pink napkins.  Each napkin held a custom card with the ceremony program on the front and the menu on the back.  Each centerpiece had three bottles holding baby’s breath and pink roses, and the bottles sat on a wood slice.  The guest book was actually large Jenga blocks.  What was nice was that, rather than just signing their names, the guests wrote messages to the couple.  Dennis and Jackie will surely treasure those notes.

At the bar, guests got their drinks in custom cups.  The toasts were fun, especially when Jackie’s two sisters sang a song they wrote for her and Dennis.  The wedding cake was unique: they didn’t have one!  Instead, Jackie and Dennis fed each other an ice cream sandwich!  Then, ice cream sandwiches were served to all the guests.  The couple opted to skip the bouquet and garter, and instead, spent the time on the dance floor.   After a fun evening, the night came with the last dance.  Instead of a formal exit, these newlyweds stayed to bid farewell to their guests.  Congratulations Dennis and Jackie!
