Congratulations TJ and Kristy

First Dance

Amber Uplights
What a pretty Wedding Reception! The colors were ivory, champagne and teal. The tables had champagne floor-length cloths and the chairs had ivory covers with champagne ties. The high/low centerpieces had hydrangea and curly willow in tall vases or shorter vases with orchids, hydrangea, and teal candles. The favors at each place setting were custom printed votive holders tied in white boxes with teal ribbons. We had 8 amber uplights highlighting the room giving it an elegant glow.

Kristy’s elegant white cake had four round, stacked tiers, with a rose on the second tier and petals extending outwards from it to cover the whole front of the cake. TJ’s chocolate cake had the Texas A&M logo on the top and was surrounded by chocolate covered strawberries.

If there is one word to sum up this Reception, besides the word “pretty”, it is “FUN!” This group was a blast! They literally danced from the first song to the last. There was jumping, singing along, crazy dancing, and fun, fun, fun!!! At one point, there was a push up contest on the dance floor, and I think the Bridesmaid won. LOL Kristy told me her friends loved to dance, and she wasn’t kidding!

After a night of fun, the Newlyweds ran through of rose petals and headed off to their life as a married couple. Congratulations TJ and Kristy!

We sell custom cake toppers!

Looking for the perfect cake topper for your vintage chic, rustic, or country wedding?  Look no further!

These pine wood toppers are approximately 8" tall.  The bottom 3-4" stick in the cake and have a non-toxic coating. The whole topper is approximately 5 1/2" wide. The posts are 4" apart, so they fit in the smallest traditional 6" cake topper.

The toppers are weathered outdoors for a natural, rustic, or country appearance.  They are hand painted in white lettering for the most authentic look, but other colors can be used.  Please note that cracks, rust, and distressed wood are desired, but a topper can be made without rust or outdoor weathering, and with a less distressed look.  You can have different wording besides what is seen on the sample shown here. A lasso can be attached for no extra cost.

Only $34.00 each!

Congratulations Jason and Lindsay

What a gorgeous day for an outdoor Ceremony and Reception. The Ceremony was under a beautiful arbor with white draping and a white chandelier with pink and clear crystals. After a beautiful ceremony in which two dogs were the Flower Girl and Ring Bearer, we moved on to the Reception.

This whole wedding day was gorgeous. From the sunny day, to the venue, to the décor, to the flowers, to the details, it was all amazing. The colors were black, ivory, and pale pink, and they were perfect. The tables had white floor-length cloths surrounded by white garden chairs. The centerpieces were white low pots with pale pink ribbons filled with white hydrangea and pale pink roses. There was a drink station with old fashioned drinks and pink and white straws. To tie in the colors, we had pink uplights scattered around the property, shining up pillars and trees.

Lindsay’s white, three-tiered cake had pale pink roses between each tier, and had the cutest topper of little wood people. Jason’s cake was a life-sized, realistic looking armadillo with red velvet cake inside. The detail was incredible! There was also a cookie buffet for the guests to take home a pink bag filled with different flavored cookies.

There was a beautiful guest ‘book’ that I’ve never seen before: it a picture frame holding a mat that had tiny hearts mounted on it for each guest to sign. One heart was red, and had Jason and Lindsay’s initials in it. It will be something they can hang on their wall to remember their wedding day.

After a wonderful Reception of fun, food, and dancing, the Newlyweds said farewell to their guests and ran through sparklers. Congratulations Lindsay and Jason, and enjoy your honeymoon in Thailand!

Congratulations on your Bat Mitzvah Angela

This event was different for us, as it was our first Bat Mitzvah. It didn’t have all the traditional elements, but it was still a fun way to celebrate such a milestone in Angela’s life, and a great way for us to learn something new. The colors for the evening were fuchsia and lime, and the room décor was amazing!

The tables had black satin full-length cloths with black and white zebra print toppers. The center pieces were at least 3-4 feet tall, and rotated. How cool! Each had a custom made design on top, representing one of Angela’s interests. They included Facebook, sports, Twitter, iPhone, shopping, and many more. The bases were covered in fuchsia or lime fabric, to match the colors. Even the cake matched, as they were Angela’s initials in fuchsia and lime stripes. We had fuchsia and lime uplights tying it all together. The room was just awesome!

Now for all the other fun details. As the guests entered the ballroom and picked up their fuchsia escort cards, they were greeted by Angela’s life-sized photo cardboard cut-out. For Angela’s project, she made spiral bound Jewish Holiday Cookbooks. She collected recipes from family and friends, typed them up, and created the books. She asked guests who wanted a cookbook to donate to the charity listed inside. What a great idea! For fun off the dance floor, there was a traditional photo booth and a flipbook photo booth. Everyone loves to see themselves in a flipbook! After the Candle Lighting, everyone danced to some traditional songs, including the Hora. There were 4 giant balloons filled with confetti and smaller balloons hanging from the ceiling, so when Angela was lifted up in the chair, she popped the balloons and the contents showered everyone. It was fun!! The dancing, singing along, and fun continued until the celebration came to an end. Congratulations Angela and we hope you had a fabulous time!!

Happy Birthday Adriel

Blue and purple Uplights and Dance Floor Lighting
This birthday party for Adriel was planned as a surprise, and it really was!  He walked into the dark room, the lights came on, and his friends and family yelled “surprise!”   Can you imagine what he thought when he saw the DJ, dance floor, uplights, dance floor lights, cake, food, and decorations?  His parents did an awesome job of planning this and his friends were able to keep it a total secret.  They all had fun dancing and singing along for the evening, just having a great time.  They were a fun group!   Happy Birthday again Adriel!

Congratulations Thomas and Misty

Love the sunlight streaming through the windows!
What a beautiful, cool, fall day for a Wedding Reception! The colors were ivory, gray, and red, and it was all so elegant. The tables had floor-length ivory cloths with grey pin-tuck toppers, topped with centerpieces of ivory and red tulips in tall vases. The chairs had ivory satin covers with dark red ties. We had three red uplights on the stage to tie it all together.

After a delicious meal, we moved on to the toasts and cake cutting. Misty’s cake had three white, stacked tiers with white accents. Thomas’ cake was a German chocolate ‘cooler’ of Guinness Draught beer. One really cool touch at this Reception was the caricature artists. There were two guys doing them the whole time, and by the end of the night, I think every guest left with their own caricature. How fun! The Candy Buffet was enjoyed by everyone as well.

The Reception came to a close and Misty and Thomas ran through a shower of (biodegradable) confetti, got in their limo, and headed off to their new life together. Congratulations Thomas and Misty, and enjoy your honeymoon in Cabo!

Congratulations Mike and Chelsea

This was a fun Reception for a very fun couple! The colors for the day were navy and hints of orange. With the centerpieces of assorted orange, ivory, and coral flowers; and ivory table cloths and chair covers, the room was so pretty. Chelsea’s cake was a perfect match, with four ivory tiers accented with soft orange detailing and orange roses on top. Mike’s cake was awesome: a fully edible boat floating on the water. To tie in the water theme, there were two custom-made, 4 foot long wooden oars that the guests signed. The creator of the oars was going to then burn the guests’ names permanently into the wood. They were so cool!

This Reception was fun, marked by a lot of laughing and dancing and fun. I won’t mention one of the toasts, which was, well, um… wow! It did get quite the laugh, though! After non-stop dancing from the first song to the last, Mike and Chelsea made their exit through pretty orange rose petals. Congratulations to you both, and enjoy your Australian honeymoon!

Congratulations Josh and Kellie

What a cool wedding for a fun-loving couple! The colors were black with turquoise/teal accents, and it was done really well. The tables had black table cloths with teal napkins and centerpieces of teal hydrangeas. The chairs had black satin covers with teal sashes. For unique favors, they had decorated Mardi Gras-type masks on the tables. Guests wore them and got to take them home. For the final touch to pull it all together, we had our amber Uplights around the room.

After a traditional ceremony in which Josh’s Grandfather was the minister, we moved on to cocktail time and dinner. The toasts came next and then, the cake cutting. The cake really matched perfectly: it had four ‘leaning’ round tiers, alternating between teal and purple. The purple tiers had black curvy designs, and the teal tiers had black stripes. To top it off, the topper was the Bride and Groom from The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was so fun! To draw more attention to the fabulous cake, we had our cake table spots directed on it.

Dancing was a bit Country, a bit 80’s, a bit Hip Hop, plenty of line dances, and lots of fun. Especially the woman we named Grandma Dancing Machine! Finally after the Bouquet and Garter and more dancing, the Newlyweds ran though bubbles and headed off to their Honeymoon, while each guest loaded a watermelon in their car, to represent a fruitful marriage. Congratulations Josh and Kellie!

Congratulations Shadi and Lauren

Our beautiful amber Uplights
This Reception took place a month after Lauren and Shadi got married in Hawaii, so it was a great way for all their friends and family who were unable to go to Hawaii to share in the festivities. The room was very pretty, with gold floor-length table cloths, tall centerpieces with assorted bright flowers, and our amber uplights adding a beautiful golden glow.

After a dinner consisting of assorted food stations, we moved on to the special events. The toasts were followed by the cake cutting. Shadi’s chocolate Groom’s cake was a reflection of his obvious love for playing cards. It had realistic looking cards, edible chips, the whole thing. It was pretty cool! Following that there was a short video of Shadi and Lauren’s wedding. The guests loved being able to see their wedding day! The First Dance and Parent’s Dances came next, and then it was dance time.

After a lot of fun and dancing, occasional updates on the Texas Tech game, and the Bouquet and Garter (The lucky lady who caught the bouquet and the lucky guy who caught the garter are engaged and are getting married in 3 weeks!!) the night came to a close. Lauren and Shadi wished all their guests farewell and left to continue their happy life together. Congratulations Shadi and Lauren!

Congratulations Mark and Jennifer

 Congratulations Mark and Jennifer

The colors for this pretty Reception were black, silver, and lilac. With black and white damask tablecloths, white satin chair covers with lilac ties, and silver chargers, the room was very elegant. The high/low centerpieces alternated between tall vases with submerged calla lilies with floating candles, or low vases with submerged hydrangea with floating candles. Add in our 10 purple uplights around the room, and it was gorgeous!

After a delicious dinner to the sounds of a live mariachi band we moved on to the toasts and cake cutting. Jennifer’s white cake with lilac accents was perfect for their colors, and Mark’s chocolate cake in the shape of a piano was awesome: it had really incredible detail. Then, on to the party! After a bit of dancing we stopped for the Dollar Dance, and then went back to the fun. This group had so much that we went into overtime for an hour and a half!

Finally, after the bouquet and garter tosses, a long, fun night of dancing, the Newlweds danced the Last Dance and bid farewell to their guests. Congratulations Mark and Jennifer!!

Congratulations Michael and Joanna

This wedding day was a bit different from the norm for us, and we loved it. It was very traditional, from the outdoor Ceremony under the canopy of a huge oak tree, to the indoor seated Reception. The colors for this elegant wedding were plum and grey, so the Bridal Party wore knee-length plum dresses while the Groomsmen wore white shirts with grey vests and plum colored ties. Joanna was gorgeous in her off-white lace covered gown with satin sash. Her beautiful bouquet featured ivory flowers with lavender accents. The Ceremony had white wooden chairs, and the ones along the aisles had mason jars with ivory and plum flowers. Near the end of the ceremony, an a capella quartet performed for the new Husband and Wife.

There was no dancing at the Reception, so the music included Jazz, Rat Pack, and other oldies. It was perfect for this traditional day. The centerpieces matched the feel as well, with alternating vintage lanterns, old fashioned candle chandeliers, and white bud vases with flowers. Michael and Joanna share a love of reading, so some of the centerpieces also had stacked books with candles on top. They had other vintage touches as well, including an old suitcase for cards, a wood ‘wall’ holding portraits of family members, and an old wooden box holding the programs. Every detail was perfect.

After dinner, the toasts, the cake cutting, and time to visit with family and friends, Joanna and Michael made their exit through sparklers and began their new life together. Congratulations to the Newlyweds and enjoy your Honeymoon!

Congratulations Jimmy and Rachel

What a beautiful sunny day for this waterside Ceremony and Reception. The colors for the day were black and white, with accents of turquoise and coral, and the theme was glam beach party. The chairs had white satin covers with black satin ties. The tables had white floor-length cloths with black pin-tuck overlays, topped with silver charges. The assorted centerpieces had white candles in sand with small vases of flowers around them, or tall vases with dried grass and lights. There were custom made chocolates in the shape of seashells and fish at the place settings. Each member of the Wedding Party was given a custom made, blue sparkling champagne glass.

Don't cake smash me!

Rachel’s cake was beautiful. It had four white, round tiers, each with a scattering of tiny, elegant, white, edible flowers. Two tiers had a beautiful white satin ribbon around the bottom, tied in a bow with a gorgeous brooch in the center. The cake was topped by the couple’s last initial. Jimmy’s chocolate cake had an anchor in the center with rope around it, all edible of course. Obviously he’s into the water, especially since he and Rachel ran through sparklers, onto a dock, and drove off in a boat!

One really funny part of this Reception was the First Dance. Halfway through the dance, Rachel stopped and yelled “Wait!” She and Jimmy then pulled out their cell phones and updated their status on Facebook as “married”. Rachel said, “Now, it’s official!” and then they continued on with their dance. So funny, and very appropriate since they reconnected on Facebook.

They wanted a great fun dance party, so our dance floor lighting added the ambiance they wanted. To top it off with the perfect touch, we had a custom monogram with their names and wedding date projected onto the dance floor, and it was gorgeous. What a great wedding day!  Congratulations Jimmy and Rachel, and enjoy Antigua!

Congratulations Joe and Jody

This day was definitely meant to be. After a week of torrential rains and flooded streets, Joe and Jody’s wedding was bathed in beautiful sunshine. The colors for this Wedding were sage green, light hydrangea blue, and silver. The feel of the day was pretty and summery. The tables had floor length white table cloths and the centerpieces were Mason jars with flowers. There were burlap runners on the cake and head tables, and they tied in with the vintage, summery feel of the Reception.

Jody’s gown and headpiece tied in perfectly with the theme. Her ivory strapless gown had a beautiful overlay of lace. Her cage veil headpiece was held in place with an ivory rosette. Joe and his guys looked great in their grey suits and sage green ties. The bouquets featured blue hydrangea and white roses and the handles were wrapped with burlap, tied with raffia.

So in love!

Jody’s three-tiered white cake had pretty hydrangeas as the topper and Joe’s cake had the UH mascot on top. Go Coogs!! The couple also had a great way of displaying their growing up photos: they were pinned to twine with tiny clothes pins, and the twine was wrapped around a burlap covered board.

For their exit, the Newlyweds ran though a shower of bubbles and drove off in a fully restored ’55 Chevy. How cool is that!! Congratulations Joe and Jody and we hope you’re enjoying your Jamaican Honeymoon!

Congratulations Brad and Emily

This was a gorgeous, elegant, and fun Reception. The colors were teal and coral/pink. The tables had ivory floor length cloths and the centerpieces of pink, ivory, and coral flowers were amazing! The Bridal Party wore teal blue floor-length gowns, and we had 10 blue uplights around the room to tie it all in together.

After the First Dance and dinner, we moved on to the toasts and cake cutting. Emily’s four tiered white cake was elegant and perfect for their day. Brad’s chocolate UT cake was loved by all the UT fans in the room. The Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances followed, and then, to get the dancing started, we had an Anniversary Dance. The longest married couple in the room had been married 64 years. Then, it was full on party time!

Every once in a while I’ll say the guests danced from the first song to the last, and I never say it if it isn’t true. This was another one of those dancing crowds.

Most of the time there were more people on the dance floor than there were in their seats. All ages loved to dance to every type of music. What a blast!

After a night of fun and dancing, the evening came to a close and the Newlyweds made their exit. Congratulations Brad and Emily!

Congratulations Nathan and Amanda

These are Red Uplights, my point and shoot camera
just doesn't show the color right.  Sorry!

This Reception was perfect for a beach loving, fun couple like Amanda and Nathan. They had their ceremony out on the beach, and then enjoyed an indoor Reception. The wedding colors for these two Aggies were maroon and white, and they really looked nice in the historic ballroom. The tables had maroon pin-tuck tablecloths and the centerpieces were vintage-looking lanterns with candles inside as well as around them. Shells were scattered around them as well. As a unique accent, there were cards on the table listing words of advice that had been given to Nathan and Amanda at their engagement party.

Amanda looked amazing in her gown. It was strapless and had a beaded bodice with a softly flowing skirt. The skirt had a lace overlay and had a drape in the back which made a small train. Nathan wore grey pants and a white shirt. Their attire was great for their beach side Ceremony and beach themed Reception. The Wedding cake was perfect for this couple as well; it was assorted cupcakes, with one layer on top for their anniversary. Guests always love when they get to choose their favorite flavor of cake!

After fun dancing from the first song to the last, Nathan and Amanda ran through a shower of bubbles and headed off to their new life. Congratulations!!!
