Were Reagan and Melissa content with a traditional wedding cake? Of course not! The main wedding cake was actually cheesecake, and their second cake was a display of doughnuts. Yum!! To top that, there was a candy table for guests to enjoy. People tend to think smaller weddings mean no dancing, but that was not true with this group! There was fun dancing all night long. When the newlyweds made their exit, they headed off in a horse-drawn carriage. Congratulations to Melissa and Reagan!
One of the highlights of the evening was Kelly’s father’s toast. It was a poem he wrote and it was so funny: everyone loved it! Instead of a formal exit at the end of the night, this couple opted to stay, keep dancing and say goodbye to their guests. Everyone had a great time and we wish our best to the newlyweds. Congratulations Rob and Kelly!

The guests enjoyed Emma’s four-tiered, delicious, white cake, accented with white and blue flowers. Kyle’s Fantasy Football cake looked like a football field and it was a hit as well. After a romantic, private last dance, this sweet pair headed off to their new life as a married couple. Congratulations Kyle and Emma!

To give the reception a warm glow, we had our amber uplights around the room. We also provided a photo booth and Victoria loved it: I think she was in it from the time it opened to the time it closed! After a fun night, the newlyweds stayed to say farewell to their guests before heading out. Congratulations Victoria and Chris!

This crowd was great! They danced from the first song to the last, and Laura and Vince spent plenty of time dancing as well. This couple wanted a lot of 80’s music, and I loved that! (The guests all loved it too!) At some points, the dance floor overflowed onto the carpet! When the night ended, the newlyweds changed their clothes and went down to the Boardwalk to spend more time with their family and friends. Congratulations Vince and Laura!

Krystal’s three-tiered, stacked, white cake had maroon and ivory flowers accenting the tiers. Adam’s chocolate cake looked like a Crown Royal barrel. I guess we know what Adam loves to drink! To tie in with their wedding colors, there were custom, maroon Koozies at the bar. After a night of fun and dancing, the reception came to a close before the couple headed off to their new life as newlyweds. Congratulations Adam and Krystal!

One special event at the reception was the gender reveal. On Beth and David’s original wedding date, which was a year and a half ago, they had a very small ceremony. But at this delayed celebration, Beth was pregnant, and the guests got to find out if the baby was a boy or girl. When the couple cut into the cake, they found a layer with blueberry filling. Blue for boy! As soon as we said, “It’s a boy,” I changed our amber uplights to blue. Everyone was cheering!
It was a great night of dancing fun and lots of surprises. Everyone loved it. When the reception ended, the guests went outside to see the couple off. Congratulations David and Beth!

The colors for this wedding were blue and pink and there were beach accents. It all came together beautifully. When the guests arrived, they found seashells with their names and table numbers on them. The tables had gorgeous floor length tablecloths that were a light silvery blue. They were topped by tall vases with pink and white floral arrangements. Each place setting had a clear glass charger with gold beads running around the edges. Menu cards were tucked into the white folded napkins on the chargers and there was a blue box with sugared almonds at each place setting. The table numbers were on beach looking tiles next to large pieces of coral. The tables were surrounded by clear Chiavari chairs, and we had amber uplights around the room to provide an elegant touch.
Lauren’s wedding cake was so pretty! It had three, smooth, stacked white tiers, with a white swag draping down the front. Pink and white flowers accented the tiers and made up the topper. Nick’s groom’s cake was a hit! The bottom tier was decorated for the Houston Astros. The middle tier was for the UT Longhorns and the top tier looked like a soccer ball. That cake was pretty cool!
We did something unique at this reception – a gender reveal! After the toasts, Lauren and Nick got on the mic to thank their guests for coming. But when Nick got to a certain point in his speech, we switched our uplights to pink and he announced that they were having a girl! Everyone congratulated the couple on their upcoming little girl before we returned to the dancing. This crowd had a lot of fun dancing. From oldies to current – they had a great time! For one last special treat, the guests were served a delicious late-night snack.
When the reception wrapped up, everyone joined in the last dance before Lauren and Nick headed off in a limousine. What a great day to celebrate a wedding and an upcoming baby. Congratulations Nick and Lauren on your marriage and baby girl!
