Congratulations Sheldon and Jennifer

We had a great time at this Ceremony and Reception, as we got to work with the nicest bride and groom!  The colors for their day were blush and grey, and everything was so pretty.  Jennifer’s gown was blush with a beautiful lace overlay and the wedding party all wore grey.  They got married outside in a pergola covered in greenery before moving inside for the reception.  The reception tables had floor-length linens topped with grey pin tuck overlays.  There were three different centerpieces: tall silver candelabras with candles, low vases with candles, and arrangements of flowers in silver vases.  Each centerpiece was surrounded by candles in silver mercury glass votives.  Each place setting had silver chargers and blush napkins in silver napkin rings.  To add an elegant glow, we had amber uplights around the room.

Jennifer’s three-tiered, stacked white cake was elegant, as it had smooth frosting and accents of white and blush flowers.  Sheldon’s chocolate cake had chocolate ganache covering the top and dripping down the sides.  For an extra treat, there was a platter of chocolate chip cookies next to Sheldon’s cake.  For a memento of their cake cutting, this couple had a small cake plate with Mr. & Mrs. stamped into it as well as two forks, also stamped with Mr. or Mrs. on them.

There were neat favors at this wedding that I hadn’t seen before.  The guests each got a packet of dipping spices.  All you do is mix the spices into olive oil and dip your bread into it.  Yum!  When the evening came to a close, everyone joined in the last dance before the Newlyweds made their exit through a shower of rose petals.  Congratulations Jennifer and Sheldon and enjoy your honeymoon in Italy!

Congratulations Jon and Hannah

This beautiful bed and breakfast was perfect for Jon and Hannah’s elegant wedding.  The ceremony was held outside and was followed by an indoor reception.  The colors for the day were navy and light pink, with accents of white and gold.  The bridal party wore navy dresses and carried pretty bouquets of white and pink flowers while the groomsmen wore tan tuxes with navy ties.  Dinner was held in the ballroom, which also matched the colors of the day.  The tables had alternating gold and navy linens, and were topped by gold chargers.  The white and pink floral centerpieces were surrounded by candles in gold votives.

The three-tiered wedding cake was so pretty!  It was a light blush color, with accents in white.  Each tier was a different shape and they were accented with light pink flowers.  Instead of feeding each other cake, this couple opted to do a small cake smash.  Too funny!   For favors, each guest was given a little bag with chocolate and a plantable paper in the shape of a sand dollar.  The papers were filled with seeds, and all you have to do is plant them and water them.  That’s a unique favor!

After a great night of fun (this group hit the dance floor at the very first song, and didn’t stop dancing until the last), the night came to a close with the Last Dance.  The Newlyweds then ran through sparklers, climbed into their car and headed off to their new life.  Congratulations Jon and Hannah!

Congratulations Austin and Jacqueline

This wedding, with the colors of wine and petal pink, was very elegant.  The bridal party’s dresses were wine, while they carried beautiful bouquets of wine and petal flowers.  The groomsmen wore grey suits with wine colored ties and petal boutonnieres.  The tables had floor-length, blush satin linens, and every other chiavari chair had the same color tie, held in place with rhinestone accent.  Each place setting had a gold charger, topped with an ivory napkin.  The centerpieces alternated between three styles: three gold mercury glass candle holders with flower accents, tall vases with large petal pink and wine arrangements, and antique lanterns with a candle inside.  All the centerpieces had gold mercury glass votive candle holders with candles surrounding them, and each centerpiece was on a round mirror.  Soft pink uplights highlighted the walls and columns in the room.  The color theme of the wedding was perfect for this elegant venue.

When it came time for the cake cutting, there was a half-and-half, four tiered, stacked cake for both Jacqueline and Austin.  Jacqueline’s side was all ivory, with elegant ivory designs on it.  Austin’s side was an ode to Star Wars.  The top tier was decorated to look like BB8.  The next tier looked like the night sky, with two light sabers and two fighter planes.  The next tier down was silver, and had Yoda on it.  The bottom tier looked like brown fur, for Wookie.  The cake was awesome!  For guests who don’t like cake, there were also cookies, decorated to look like tuxedoes and bridal gowns.

One amazing fact about this sweet couple:  they were boyfriend and girlfriend in seventh grade!  Years later, they reconnected, and now they’re married.  For a unique guest book, the Newlyweds had a large wooden board with their names and wedding date in the middle.  Guests signed the board with a white marker.  What a great keepsake to hang in your home after your wedding!  After a fun evening, the night came to a close when the newlyweds ran through an arch of sparklers, climbed into a restored white 1966 Princess and headed off to their new life.  Congratulations Austin and Jacqueline!
