Congratulations Anthony and Julie

With the colors of purple and grey, and lots of bling accents, this Wedding Reception was so elegant!  The tables had white floor length tablecloths with white toppers and were surrounded by Chiavari chairs.  The centerpieces alternated between tall crystal candelabras with purple hydrangeas or low arrangements of purple flowers with branches in mirrored vases.  Each place setting had a silver charger and small favor bag holding flavored olive oil and balsamic vinegar.  To match the wedding colors, the sweetheart table and the cake tables had beautiful purple embroidered and sequined linens.

After dinner and the toasts, we moved on to the cake cutting.  Julie’s gorgeous four tiered cake had alternating tiers of plain white or white with purple designs.  The base of each tier was wrapped with purple and bling ribbons and the topper consisted of a bling initial.  To top it off, the cake was set on a mirrored pedestal and the table had a mirror topper.  Anthony’s two tiered chocolate cake was a nod to his years spent at Texas A&M.  It had an Aggie Band design on the bottom tier and the topper was in the shape of the state of Texas with A&M written on it.  There were a few other accents at this wedding that I really liked as well: there was a candy buffet with the candy all in shades of pink and white, Julie’s beautiful bling earrings and hair piece, and Julie’s amazing blue stiletto shoes.

When it came to dancing, this fun-loving crowd enjoyed being on the dance floor!  They danced from the first song to the last and to all kinds of music.  A big crowd pleaser was when they all danced the Tarantella (Anthony and Julie are both Italian).  They were all in a big circle with Julie and Anthony in the middle.  They all had a great time!  Unfortunately, the night had to come to a close, so everyone joined in the Last Dance before seeing the Newlyweds off.  Congratulations Anthony and Julie!

Congratulations Andrew and Jaclyn

Every once in a while we work with a couple that is so cute, so obviously in love, that it is visible to everyone in the room.  Andrew and Jaclyn were one of these couples.  They were so cute together, so happy, that their love spread throughout the room, encouraging everyone in attendance to smile and have lots of fun.  The fun started at the Ceremony, when everyone shouted, “Mazel tov!” as Andrew broke the glass after the couple was pronounced husband and wife.  The happiness then continued into the Reception, as the guests were eager to dance before they had even been served dinner!

This crowd loved to have fun on the dance floor so much that they overflowed onto the carpet.  They danced to everything from slow songs to upbeat party songs, from the first dance song to the last.  It was also a great time when Andrew and Jaclyn were lifted up in chairs as the guests danced the Hora.

There were also the traditional elements of a wedding such as the toasts and cake cutting, but the dancing and fun are what stood out on this day.  Well, that and Jaclyn’s beautiful gown.  She was so elegant in her satin gown with no detailing except the small bow on the front and row of buttons going down the back.  She was a timeless, beautiful bride.

After the Last Dance was over, plenty of hugs and well wishes were exchanged before the Newlyweds left for their new life as a married couple.  Congratulations Andrew and Jaclyn!

Congratulations Ryan and Heather

This afternoon wedding Ceremony and Reception were just perfect for this sweet couple.  Both events were held in a small ballroom, which had a gorgeous fireplace highlighting one wall and rows of windows highlighting another.  The color for this wedding was cobalt blue and the flowers matched with accents of coral and ivory.  The tables had floor-length ivory tablecloths and the centerpieces consisted of candles surrounded by rose petals.

After the smaller Ceremony, which was for immediate family only, the Reception with a larger guest list followed.  I loved Heather’s unique three tiered white wedding cake: it had oval shaped tiers accented with flowers.  I’ve never seen an oval shaped wedding cake before and it was very elegant.  Ryan, who’s from Louisiana, had his cake decorated in purple and yellow for the LSU tigers.  Another touch that I haven’t seen before was the cocktail napkins: they had a picture of Heather and Ryan’s dog on them with the saying “One big happy family.”  Too cute!  For favors, the guests were given wine glasses that said “Eat, drink and be married” followed by the couples’ names and wedding date.

After a fun afternoon that allowed for plenty of time for visiting with guests along with Heather dancing to almost every song, the Reception came to a close.  Everyone joined in the last dance before wishing the Newlyweds farewell.  Congratulations Ryan and Heather!

Congratulations BJ and Lauren

This wedding was a sweet and intimate way to celebrate Lauren and BJ’s marriage.  It was held at a B&B, and the smaller guest list allowed the bride and groom to spend plenty of time with all their guests.  The Ceremony was in the beautiful ballroom and the Reception, which took place throughout the first floor of the B&B, followed.  The colors for this wedding were ivory and accents of light pink, lavender and gold.

The wedding cake looked just right for the wedding and the historic venue.  It had three gold stacked tiers with edible ivory lace accents.  The top tier was dome shaped, which we had never seen before and loved, and it perfectly accented the overall look.   Despite the elegant feel to the wedding, there was still a lot of fun.  The guests were dancing and singing along from the first song to the last, and they had a blast!  At one point, an impromptu Conga line even broke out.  We had so much fun watching them all on the dance floor and we know they had a great time as well.

After a lot of fun and laughter, the reception came to a close.  The Newlyweds ran through a line of sparklers and headed off in a horse drawn carriage.  Congratulations BJ and Lauren!

Congratulations Marco and Heather

This reception was very elegant with the colors of black, white, and silver, with gorgeous floral accents of bluish-purple orchids.  The tables had floor-length white cloths with overlays of black with a silver damask print.  The centerpieces consisted of antique lanterns holding candles, and they were surrounded by orchids and more candles.

Heather’s cake matched the colors perfectly, as it had four white stacked tiers with orchids surrounding the topper and cascading down the side.  Marco’s chocolate groom’s cake had white frosting topped with chocolate ganache.  There was one unique touch at this reception that we had never seen before:  Heather’s father made the couple a wooden bench with a matching end table from an old pecan tree in the back yard of the house where she grew up.  The bench featured the couple’s names and the date of the wedding.  For the guest book, the guests signed the side table.  Another touch I liked was the beautiful custom engraved silver cake server that said, “Every day with you will be sweeter than the day before.”

After a fun night of dancing, good drinks, good food and good cake, the reception came to a close.  The Newlyweds stayed until the very end to bid their guests farewell before they left.  Congratulation Marco and Heather!
