Congratulations Nic and Aly

This beautiful spring day brought us to a venue that was perfect for a wedding with beach accents.  The colors for the day were purple and grey and they were tied in various ways.  For the ceremony, the Bridal Party wore purple dresses and carried bouquets of purple orchids and green hydrangeas.  The Groomsmen wore grey slacks, white shirts and purple ties.  Their boutonnieres had little seashells on them and were so cool!  The Flower Girls were in short white lace dresses while the Ring Bearer had suspenders and a bow tie.

The Reception matched the colors in the table cloths, which alternated between grey and purple.  The centerpieces were either arrangements of green and purple flowers or vases with sand and seashells.  Even the cocktail tables around the dance floor had sea themed centerpieces, as they had blue glass votives surrounded by seashells.  Instead of a traditional guest book, the couple had messages in a bottle.  There were slips of paper for the guests to write advice.  They then rolled up the papers, tied them with blue string and put them in a bottle.  Nic and Aly will open the bottle and read the advice on their one-year wedding anniversary.  For favors, the guests received purple koozies with grey writing, saying “anchored in love.”  There were numerous other sea-themed accents around the room and they all tied in with the theme just right

Aly’s four-tiered white cake was the perfect accent, as it had seashells accenting the tiers and two little anchors making up the topper.  The anchors had a veil and a bow tie, to make them a little bride and groom.  Nic’s two-tiered red velvet cake was awesome: it was decorated to look like it was built out of Legos, and it had little Lego people all over it with a Lego bride and groom on the top.

After a fun day of good food, good cake and dancing, the reception came to a close when the Newlyweds made their exit under a shower of lavender.  Congratulations Nic and Aly!

Congratulations Shawn and Veronique

This elegant, afternoon Ceremony and Reception had us working with a couple who was obviously so in love.  How sweet!  The Ceremony was held outside Ashton Villa under the gazebo and the indoor Reception followed.  The colors for the day were yellow, silver and gold, and they were reflected in the flowers and tables.  The bouquets were made up of beautiful yellow tulips, the national flower of Holland (Veronique’s home country).  The tables had ivory floor length linens with silver chargers.  The high/low centerpieces consisted of either tall gold candelabras surrounded by more candles or ivory vintage lanterns surrounded by candles.  Veronique’s three-tiered stacked cake was a nod to her heritage as well, as it was white with elegant blue designs on the front.  The topper was two white Dutch wooden shoes with blue designs.

When the evening came to a close, everyone shared in the Last Dance before the Newlyweds bid them farewell.  Congratulations Shawn and Veronique!

Congratulations Travis and Erin

This Reception, with the colors of tiffany blue, grey and white was so pretty!  The tables had floor-length white table cloths and were surrounded by white wooden garden chairs.  The centerpieces consisted of floral arrangements of white hydrangeas and baby’s breath.  Each place setting had a tiffany blue bag of M&Ms that matched the wedding colors.  Erin’s bouquet matched as well, as it was made up of tiffany blue hydrangeas and white roses.  The Bridal Party carried bouquets of white roses with the stems wrapped in tiffany blue satin.  To pull the whole look together, we had tiffany blue Uplights accenting the room.

Erin’s cake was very elegant, with its three stacked white tiers.  Each tier had different white on white designs and the silver topper had the couple’s last name and wedding date on it.  Travis’ groom’s cake matched his interests, as it was a round cake that looked like a basketball.

After a night of fun and lots of dancing, the evening came to a close when everyone shared in the Last Dance.  The Newlyweds then made their exit under a shower of bubbles, climbed into their vintage limousine and headed off to their new life as a married couple.  Congratulations Travis and Erin!
