Congratulations Ben and Kate

This summer’s day reception at a historic B&B was perfect for this sweet couple.  The colors of coral and mint green accented the venue as well as the feel of the day.  Kate’s champagne colored gown was amazing with a lace overlay and ruffle along the bottom and her Bridal Party looked beautiful in their short coral dresses.  Ben and the guys were perfect with their grey tuxedos.

When the guests first arrived, they put their thumbprints on a sign in tree canvas before enjoying a popcorn display with various flavors of popcorn.  There were little signs denoting the flavors alongside coral and mint chevron striped bags for the guests to fill.  After the entrance and First Dance, we moved onto dinner, and the toasts and cake cutting followed.  Kate’s four tiered mint green cake had white accents at the bottom of each tier and a few white edible starfish scattered about.  Ben opted for a dessert display instead of a cake, and it featured brownies, lemon bars, bread pudding, pecan pie and apple pie.  The guests loved it!  For another sweet touch, Kate’s mother made favor bags of delicious cookies, which were in the shape of the Texas A&M gig ‘em hand.  They were also a big hit!

The guests enjoyed dancing until we stopped for the Shoe Game, which was a lot of fun, and the Bouquet and Garter which came later.  Then the fun continued until Kate and Ben ran through a shower of lavender and drove off in a Bentley.  Congratulations Ben and Kate!

Congratulations Corey and Carolina

This wedding day with the colors of navy, red and cream was as beautiful as it was fun.  The couple did a great job of tying in their personalities and love of movies throughout the whole day.  After the Ceremony, in which we played the Imperial March from Star Wars and the Mission Impossible Theme, the guests moved into the ballroom.  The tables had navy floor-length pintuck linens topped with high/low centerpieces of red flowers.  Each place setting featured a red satin napkin topped by a favor box of candy, and each gold Chiavari chair had a red satin tie in a beautiful floral-looking twist.  We had blue Uplights around the room to tie it all together.his wedding day

Since the couple loves movies, they had fun with their music.  The Cake Cutting song was Everybody Needs Somebody from The Blues Brothers, the Bouquet Toss was to the Peter Gunn theme and their exit was to End Credits from Indiana Jones.  For the Bouquet Toss, Carolina took her bouquet out of a suitcase, a la the Blues Brothers.  Corey had on awesome Superman cuff links as well.  For other fun touches, Corey and Carolina set up one empty table with games as the centerpiece and a sign saying, “Don’t feel like dancing?   Grab a buddy and play a game,” and they had a Mad Lib type card for the guests to fill out that asked for advice on a happy marriage.

After the high-energy entrance to Sirius Instrumental (the Chicago Bulls song), the First Dance and dinner followed before we moved on to the  Cake Cutting.  The cake had 3 white stacked tiers, all with a diagonal design in the frosting.  Navy satin ribbons decorated the bottom of each tier and red flowers topped the cake.  The dance floor then started jumping from the very first song and only stopped for the Bouquet and Garter.  Then, the party continued until the end.  The Newlyweds ran though lighted ribbon wands, got into their limo and headed off to their new life.  Congratulations Corey and Carolina!

Congratulations Nick and Alyssa

Northgate Country Club is a beautiful venue for a wedding, and this Ceremony and Reception were gorgeous!  The color for the day was dark red with accents of ivory, champagne, pink and yellow in the flowers.  The tables had ivory cloths and were surrounded by chairs with taupe satin covers.  The high/low centerpieces were either low vases with flowers or tall candelabras with flowers.  To accent the ballroom, we had soft pink Uplights along the walls (soft pink looks very pretty with reds).

Alyssa and Nick made their entrance into the ballroom and went into their First Dance followed by their Parent’s Dance.  Then, as a surprise, they each danced with a sibling.  After dinner, we moved on to the toast and cake cutting.  Alyssa’s cake had four round smooth, ivory stacked tiers with delicate ivory and pink floral accents.  An ivory satin band wound around the bottom of each.  The couple’s monogram graced on the second tier.  Nick’s two tiered chocolate cake featured chocolate covered strawberries and the Texas A&M logo on the top.

The dance floor opened and everyone had a great time until we stopped for the Bouquet and Garter.  Then, the floor opened up again with lots of dancing and fun until the end.  The Newlyweds ran through a shower of bubbles and headed off to their new life as a married couple.  Congratulations Nick and Alyssa!

Congratulations Bill and Cynthia

This waterfront venue was perfect for a spring wedding with the colors of mint, pink and ivory.  The tables had ivory floor-length linens surrounded by white garden chairs.  The high/low centerpieces matched the ivory and pink Bridal flowers, and were either tall white candelabras with candles and flowers or lanterns with candles surrounded by wreaths of flowers.  The Bridesmaids’ flowing dresses in soft mint green were the perfect touch of spring color.  To add a pretty glow to the room, we had white Uplights along the walls.

After the Ceremony, which featured a Unity Cross Ceremony and the cutest little Flower Girls, the guests went downstairs for a bubble exit while the room was flipped.  Everyone reentered for the entrance and dinner.  The toast and cake cutting came after dinner.  Cynthia’s four tier white stacked cake had tiny dot designs on each tier and strawberries dipped in white chocolate accenting each as well.   The cake was topped with pink rose petals and a clear acrylic design of the couple’s initials.  Bill’s chocolate cake was decorated for his favorite game Magic: the Gathering.  In addition to the cakes, this couple had a table with a display of pastries, which everyone loved and quickly grabbed up.

The First Dance and Parent’s dances came next and then the dance floor was open.  The First Dance got everyone laughing: Cynthia and Bill started out dancing sweetly and then at one point in the song, they both started rocking out playing air guitar.  Too funny!  Besides the dancing, which had the help of our Dance Floor Lighting; we also had a Photo Booth.  If guests weren’t dancing, especially Cynthia as she was a dancing queen!, they were in the Photo Booth.  This group loved the Photo Booth!  The Garter removal and toss was funny, as Bill is a firefighter and he wore his helmet.  Later, after a night of fun, the Reception came to a close.  The Newlyweds shared a last dance together and headed off for their new life as a married couple.  Congratulations Bill and Cynthia!
