Great Time at the Something Blue Bridal Show

We had such a great time Sunday at the Something Blue Bridal Show put on by Something Blue Bridal Boutique in Angleton.  We were proud to provide the music and announcements for the bridal show as well as the music and blue uplights for the fashion show.  Later, we got to spend a few minutes with Randy Fenoli of TLC's Say Yes To The Dress.  Randy was the nicest guy you'd ever meet, just like he is on his show.  We enjoyed meeting all of your future brides and grooms and hope to work with you on your wedding day!

Congratulations Daniel and Jessica

There are about four Saturdays a year that are perfect for an outdoor wedding and this was one of them.  The outdoor Ceremony took place out on the grass, with the rolling hills of the golf course in the background.  Following the Ceremony, the guests went inside for an elegant Reception decorated in the colors of eggplant and white and it was all gorgeous!

The Ceremony backdrop was a beautiful iron arch covered in greenery and purple roses.  The aisle was lined with purple rose petals and lanterns, accented with white roses.  The Reception was perfect as well: the tables had eggplant satin rosette toppers topped with silver chargers, white napkins, and high/low centerpieces.  The high centerpieces were tall silver candelabras with crystal accents and purple and white floral arrangements.  The low centerpieces had lanterns with candles, surrounded by wreaths of purple and white flowers.  The chairs matched as well, with white satin covers and eggplant satin ties.  To top it off, there were long swags of sheer white fabric draping across the ceiling.  To add a fun element to the Reception, we had our Photo Booth with an elegant black and white damask backdrop and a purple and white album for the Newlyweds.

The cakes were perfect for this wedding as well.  Jessica’s three tiered white cake featured their last initial on the middle tier, and purple flowers accenting the top and bottom.  Daniel’s two tiered marble cake reflected his love of Call of Duty, and was covered with camo frosting, soldiers, and a hand grenade and dog tags topper.  They even had a little two tiered cake for their son Brayden, and it was decorated like the Ninja Turtles, Brayden’s favorite cartoon.

After an evening of fun including a bouquet that ended up stuck in the ceiling drape (LOL!!), and the Groomsmen serenading Jessica singing “You Are So Beautiful”, the night came to a close.  The happy couple ran through lines of friends blowing bubbles and headed off to their wedding night.  Congratulations Daniel and Jessica!!

Had a Great Time at Rock Your Registry!

We had a great time with Bed Bath & Beyond at their Rock Your Registry event.  Registry Consultants from BB&B stores all over Houston came to the Kirby store to help engaged couples get one-on-one attention while completing their wedding registry.  We played music and provided the microphone while the guests registered, enjoyed snacks and drinks, and listened to hear if they won some of the fantastic prizes.  There were also specialists representing different lines of products so the couples could ask them questions about their items.  It was a lot of fun for everyone and we enjoyed working with the great staff at Bed Bath & Beyond.  We hope to see you at the next one!

Congratulations Wade and Stephanie

We were looking forward to this wedding, as we did Stephanie’s sister’s wedding in 2012 and had a great time with the whole family.  This vintage/country themed Ceremony and Reception took place at Pecan Springs, which was perfect for the country bride and rice farmer groom.  Stephanie’s mom is an incredibly talented crafter and she made so many of the items with details that tied everything together.  From the burlap table squares and runners trimmed with lace, to the chalkboard-style signs to the lettering on the stairs, it was all perfect.  There was also lace tied around the napkins, assorted flowers in assorted clear glass vases, and all kinds of country/vintage accents.  The candy buffet reflected Wade’s profession: It had mini farm equipment, some hauling yellow M&M “rice”.  Even the bubbles for the exit were in a wood bowl filled with rice.  The Flower Girls were so cute in their ivory lace ruffled dresses and western boots.

After the beautiful outside Ceremony, in which the sun came out just in time to shine on the wedding before the clouds set in again, the guests moved into the Reception.  Alongside the guestbook was a large picture of a tree with leaves, which the guests signed.  After the First Dance on the wood dance floor featuring our GOBO monogram with the couple’s wedding day logo, we moved onto a BBQ dinner.

Wade’s chocolate ‘field of rice’ cake had mini farm equipment surrounding it filled with real rice.    Stephanie’s five tier white cake alternated between smooth and decorated tiers with colorful flowers accented each tiers as well as the top.  The Father/Daughter dance came after the cake cutting and then it was party time!

The party continued until we stopped for the Bouquet and Garter and then it went nonstop until the end.  The Newlyweds ran though bubbles and ribbon wands and headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations Wade and Stephanie!
