Congratulations Brett and Abbey

Despite the rainy, cold day, this outdoor Wedding Ceremony and Reception turned out to be beautiful as well as fun for everyone.  The rain held off just long enough for the Ceremony in a gazebo, and then the guests headed over to a tent with heaters for the Reception.  The sun even came out later, allowing the guest to play lawn games and enjoy dancing in the gazebo.

The colors for this wedding were gray, navy and yellow, and the tent was decorated to match.  There were white, gray, blue and yellow lanterns hanging from the ceiling which complemented the navy tablecloths and white garden chairs.  Lantern and candle centerpieces decorated the tables along with yellow table numbers.  There was also a yellow cake topper with Brett and Abbey’s last name and yellow bouquets.  When it got colder in the evening, Abbey put on a pretty navy cardigan over her wedding dress, which was a really cute look!

After toasts, the cake cutting and special dances, the guests had more fun until the Bouquet and Garter.  The, it was back to the fun until the end.  The Newlyweds enjoyed their Last Dance and then made their exit.  Congratulations Brett and Abbey!

Congratulations Rex and Mandy

What a beautiful and fun Wedding Reception!  The colors for the day were powder blue and white, and the ballroom was so pretty.  The tables had white floor length cloths with either powder satin runners or powder blue sparkle organza toppers.  Each table was topped with a centerpiece of three vases filled with flowers and a floating candle, all surrounded by more candles. The chair covers on the Chiavari chairs alternated between blue lace and white tulle.  To tie it all together and add drama to the Reception, we had 8 Blue Uplights around the room.  After an upbeat entrance and a funny First Dance (this couple cracks us up!), the guests enjoyed a nice seated meal.

After dinner, we had the toasts and cake cutting.  Mandy’s cake had four stacked white oval tiers, each with white designs and a few blue flowers.  It was topped by a Bride and Groom topper which had the Bride in the Groom’s arms with her legs wrapped around his waist.  So funny!  Rex’s chocolate cake was made to represent the flag of the Philippines, where his family is from.  The Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dances came next, and then party time!

This group was so much fun!  They were singing at their tables, dancing on the dance floor and at their tables, talking, laughing and just having a great time.  The dance floor was jumping the whole night and at one point a spontaneous Conga line broke out.  The Aggie War Hymn brought a huge group out on the dance floor as well.  After the Money Dance and Bouquet and Garter were over (the catcher of the Bouquet did a victory lap around the dance floor and the catcher of the Garter did his own victory dance as well, which had us all laughing), Rex and his groomsmen stripped off their shirts and danced bare-chested.  There were shirts and ties scattered all over the dance floor: it was hilarious!  The guys lifted Rex up in the air for a bit and there was plenty of group dances and craziness on the dance floor all night long.

Finally the Last Dance brought the night to a close and the guys put their shirts back on.  The Newlyweds exited though a shower of bubbles and headed off to a fun-filled after-party.  Congratulations Rex and Mandy!

Congratulations Michael and Amber

The Ceremony was held in the same location as the Reception, and with the colors of eggplant and ivory matching the historic venue, it was so beautiful.  The tables had ivory floor length table cloths and the toppers were in eggplant.  Each table had a beautiful wrought iron lantern on top with a candle inside, and they were the same lanterns that lined the aisle for the Ceremony.  The chairs had ivory satin covers tied with eggplant ties.

After the Ceremony and cocktail hour, the guests entered the Reception.  During picture taking, Amber took a picture of her Bridal Party in a pose that looked like the poster from the movie Bridesmaids.  Too funny!  Soon after, Michael and Amber made their entrance and enjoyed their First Dance.  After dinner and toasts, it was time for the cake cutting.  Amber’s three-tiered off white cake was decorated in floral accents of the same color.  These accents gave it an elegant, vintage look, which was very pretty.  Michael’s cake was a pistachio flavored cake with butter cream icing.  Although it’s not a traditional flavor, everyone loved it!  The Father/Daughter dance came next and then it was dance time.

This crowd was fun!  From the first song to the last, they had a blast on the dance floor.  It was fun just watching, so you know they had a great time!  We paused for the bouquet and garter and then went right back to the fun until the very end.  After an upbeat, fun last dance, the guests gathered around the Newlyweds on the dance floor to hug them and wish them well until they headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations Michael and Amber!

Congratulations Joshua and Ashley

This Wedding Ceremony and Reception were so pretty with the colors of peach, cream and grey, which added to the romantic feel.  The Ceremony programs were rolled up sheets of ivory paper, tied with brown and ivory ribbons.   After the Ceremony on the first floor staircase, the guests moved upstairs to the ballroom.  The tables had floor-length taupe embellished linens with centerpieces of peach and coral flowers surrounded by candles.  Each guest had a small box of candy at their place setting, and each box had a little silver charm tied to it with a tied with a brown ribbon.  Joshua and Ashley entered in the room and went right into their first dance, which was a tango.  Great job!

After a nice seated meal, we moved on to the toasts and cake cutting.  Ashley’s cake had two ivory stacked tiers with a beautiful topper of peach and cream flowers, with a cascade down the front to match.  Joshua’s cake had two chocolate tiers with chocolate ganache drizzled over them, with a peanut butter filling.   The Parents’ dances came next (Ashley and her dad broke out into Brickhouse halfway through their dance!) and we opened up the dance floor with the Anniversary Dance.  The longest married couple in this crowd had been married 32 years and both had the same advice, “Always say yes” to whatever the spouse wants.  Good advice!

There was a lot of fun dancing until we stopped for the Bouquet and Garter, and then we continued dancing until the end.  This crowd was a lot of fun and loved to party on the dance floor.  (Ashley and Joshua even had a fun sign on the sign in table next to the seating assignments which said, “You can find your seating assignment here, but your place is on the dance floor!”)  I loved it!  The party continued to the Last Dance, and then the Newlyweds made their exit through a shower of biodegradable rice and walked across the street to their honeymoon hotel.  Congratulations Joshua and Ashley!

Congratulations Pete and Kayla

This Wedding Ceremony and Reception took place at a unique, cool venue: The Nouveau Antique Art Bar.  The bar is lit by over 100 Tiffany lamps and is perfect for those wanting something different.   The Ceremony took place on a stage in front of a large wall display of lamps and it was beautiful.

Due to the Tiffany lamps and the look of the room, there wasn't a need for much additional decor for the Reception.  Most of the wood tables were left uncovered and had white hydrangeas in vases with candles and some had ivory runners.  There were some unique touches that added to the overall feel of the day: a metal tree on which the guests would hang cards with their well-wishes to the Newlyweds, custom programs that looked like chalk writing on a blackboard, a large frame holding Pete and Kayla’s “love story” which included important dates in their relationship; and coke bottle favors with heart shaped bottle openers around the neck with tags saying, “Where there is love, there is life.”

After dinner it was time for the toast and cake cutting.  Kayla’s dad’s toast was so funny and one of her Bridesmaids did part of her toast to the theme from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.  Kayla's white three tiered stacked cake had a more vintage/casual look with the frosting lines showing and a few white hydrangeas as accents.  The custom topper had "Mr. and Mrs." with their last name on it.  Pete's chocolate cake was in the shape of the Aggie thumb with the university’s logo on it. The parents’ dances came next and then it was party time!

After plenty of fun dancing (and this group was fun!), we stopped for the bouquet and garter. Then we went back to dancing until the Last Dance.  Kayla and Pete stayed until the very end to say goodbye to their guests before they headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations Pete and Kayla!
