Congratulations Matt and Jennifer

The Ceremony and Reception had a travel theme and it was one of the best we’ve ever seen.  It tied in perfectly with the colors of deep purple/eggplant and green.  After the Ceremony at one venue, we all moved over to the Reception at another.  The guests were greeted with purple and green Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling and amazing hand-crafted paper flowers adorning the accent wall above the dance floor. 

The tables had ivory cloths with purple napkins and different centerpieces on each.   The centerpieces included globes, tall ‘hot air balloons’, postcards, books, candles, lanterns, touches of lace, and purple and green flowers.  For favors, each guest had a small custom made ‘suitcase’ of candy at their place setting.  There was also a vintage looking box holding postcards, so guests could write words of well wishes to Matt and Jennifer.   That box matched the one on the gift table that held the gift cards.  To tie it all together, we had purple uplights accenting the main wall of the room.

Jennifer’s cake matched the theme of the day as well, as it had three stacked white tiers with different white accents on each.  Each layer had a few purple flowers with greenery.  The awesome cake topper featured a Bride and Groom each holding a handgun, perfect because Matt is a police officer.  Matt’s cake represented his favorite team: Notre Dame.  The round cake was a stadium with green grass in the middle surrounded by fans in the stands. 

This group was fun, having a blast on the dance floor to the music and dance floor lights or hanging out on the balcony watching the people on the street down below.  For the Garter toss, Matt made it unique when he put the garter around a football and tossed it to the guys.  Too funny!  When the night came to a close, the Newlyweds ran though a line of sparklers and headed off to catch a flight to the Dominican Republic.   Congratulations Matt and Jennifer and enjoy your honeymoon!

Great Job Fort Bend Medical Society

We were honored to provide the DJ entertainment for the Fort Bend Medical Society's 4th Annual Gala Casino Night on Friday.  Not only was it a lot of fun, but the raffles and silent auction items raised money for their scholarship program.  The program awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors who desire to go into a medical profession.  It was a great night of 'gambling', music, and food and money was raised for a good cause.  It was a pleasure and we hope to see them again next year!

Congratulations Todd and Nicole

This wedding Ceremony and Reception were tied together beautifully down to the last detail.  The theme was vintage elegance and Nicole did an amazing job with all of it.  The Ceremony was to take place outside in a gazebo, but due to the rain it had to be moved indoors.  Despite that, it was gorgeous as well.  Nicole and Todd’s family, friends and the Wedding Party jumped in to help and we transformed the Reception into the Ceremony area in 15 minutes.  The Ceremony was held in front beautiful antique doors that had windows that opened up so the guests could see outside through the wrought iron detailing.  After the Ceremony, the awesome guests jumped in again to change the room back to the Reception, which was just as pretty as the Ceremony.

The details are too numerous to mention, but they included crinkle satin taupe table linens with lace overlays; burlap hand-sewn bags that held each guest’s silverware; an incredible custom-made tiered wood stand to hold the mini Bundt cakes on a table covered in burlap, lace and tulle; custom-made vintage bouquets and boutonnieres of dried flowers and rose-shaped pinecones with cotton accents, the handles wrapped in twine; brown paper bags for the candy buffet with “Thank You” hand stamped on them; a Mr. & Mrs. sign made of brown kraft board hanging from the head table; and I could go on.   Wow! 

The Wedding Party entered into the Reception to a fun song, and the First Dance followed.  After a dinner the guests loved, we moved on to the Toast and Cake Cutting.  The “cake” consisted of mini Bundt cakes in seven different flavors.  There was an 8” top tier for Todd and Nicole to cut.  Everyone loved the cakes and most people had more than one because they were so delicious!  The Parent’s dances came next and then the party began. 

These families were a lot of fun.  Someone pulled out sunglasses, stick-on mustaches, hats, and all kinds of other things that were hilarious!  The Bouquet and Garter came later, and we opened them up to all the women or men in the room.  They were fun for all who were able to participate and it got a lot of people out there as well.    The dancing continued until the night came to a close and everyone shared the Last Dance.  Halfway through, Nicole and Todd slipped out and headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations Todd and Nicole and enjoy your Honeymoon!

Congratulations Eugene and Jessica

This Wedding Reception featured the colors of dark coral and sapphire blue and it was so pretty.  The tables had ivory floor-length cloths with satin coral-colored toppers.  The ivory satin chair covers had sapphire satin ties.  Each table was topped with a tall vase with blue hydrangeas and ivory roses.  The flowers perfectly matched the bouquets and cake topper of blue hydrangeas and ivory roses.

After the First Dance, a delicious dinner and the toasts, we moved on to the cake cutting.  Jessica’s elegant white three-tiered cake featured different white designs on each layer and was topped with blue hydrangeas.  Eugene’s chocolate cake had a large Texas-shaped state of Texas flag on top.  The parent’s dances came next and then it was party time.  

We stopped for the Bouquet and Garter and went right back to the dancing.  After Jessica changed into her going away dress, everyone enjoyed the Last Dance.  The Newlyweds ran through a shower of bubbles and walked across the street to a rented Victorian home for their wedding night.  Congratulations Eugene and Jessica!

Congratulations David and Morgan

This beautiful wedding Reception had a vintage feel from the beginning to the end.  The guests arrived to cocktails and appetizers while enjoying lawn games including corn hole and hula hooping.  There were Adirondack chairs for relaxing while we played music.   Halfway through cocktails, Morgan and David made a dramatic entrance on a vintage fire truck.  David is a fire fighter, so it was perfect!   Soon after, the guests made their way into the ballroom for the Reception.

The tables had floor length ivory cloths topped with plum satin toppers and the chairs were fitted with ivory satin covers and plum satin ties.  The high/low centerpieces alternated between high silver candelabra and shorter arrangements of blue hydrangea and ivory roses.  Each place setting had a gold charger, ivory napkin and candy tied in a plum colored favor bag.  We had 8 amber Uplights around the room which gave it a vintage golden glow.  To top it off, we had a GOBO monogram of Morgan and David’s names and wedding date surrounded by a floral pattern projected onto the dance floor.

After David and Morgan made their formal entrance into the ballroom they went right into their First Dance.  They had put on vintage hats before their entrance and wore them throughout the evening.  Morgan’s had put a cage veil onto a white hat that was her Grandmothers and David wore a vintage black fedora.  Their Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances followed.  After an amazing dinner, we moved onto the toast and cake cutting.  Morgan’s cake was so cool: it was a traditional Norwegian wedding cake, which consists of round almond type cookies drizzled in chocolate stacked up to form a cone.  There were 7 of them, all on vintage cake plates.  David’s Groom’s cake was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.  Yum!

Once the dance floor opened, it was fun until the end.  This crowd was ready to have a great time and they did!  The Bouquet and Garter came later, then dancing continued some more.  As a special treat, the guests were served ham, biscuits and bread pudding for a late night snack before driving home.  The night came to a close when Morgan and David ran through their guests and climbed into an antique limousine.  Congratulations David and Morgan!
