Congratulations Spencer and Christine

This elegant Ceremony and fun Reception featured the colors of black, white, ivory and green, which were perfect for the venue.  The rain stopped just in time to dry the area for the outdoor Ceremony and then it started up again right afterwards.  Perfect timing!  The guests then came inside for the Reception.  The tables had ivory tablecloths and napkins while the chairs matched with ivory satin covers.  The centerpieces featured flowers in ivory, white and green and were low arrangements or arrangements on tall vases.

Christine and Spencer entered the Reception and immediately had their First Dance.  Dinner came next, and guests enjoyed filling out cards that were at each place setting, asking for Advice for the Newlyweds.  The Toast and Cake Cutting followed.  The delicious vanilla cake had four round stacked tiers, each accented with vertical fondant stripes in the same color.  It was topped by fresh flowers and a topper that said “Mr.  & Mrs.”   The Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances came next, and then it was dance time.  These guests enjoyed a good mix of fun music including line dances, and danced until the Bouquet and Garter.  Once the Last Dance was over, the Newlyweds ran under a shower of eco-confetti and drove off to their new life together.  Congratulations Spencer and Christine!

Congratulations James and Casey

This was a beautiful wedding featuring the color of blue with ivory accents.  The ballroom had two risers on either side, to elevate seating for the Wedding Party and the family of Casey and James.  The room was filled with an assortment of square or rectangular wood tables, some left bare, some with elegant taupe cloths. The seating consisted of five different styles of chairs:  Chiavari chairs with blue or ivory satin sashes, love seats, high back padded chairs, lower padded chairs and cane backed chairs.  They all complemented each other perfectly.  The centerpieces consisted of tall candelabras or even taller, lush arrangements of flowers accented with candles, with more candles around the tables.  Each place setting had a charger and the menu, and each table number told a story of one of James and Casey’s dates.  The whole room was absolutely gorgeous!

The guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with a live Jazz band and then moved into the ballroom, where the couple shared their First Dance on their custom dance floor featuring their names and wedding logo.  Jazz continued through dinner and was followed by the cake cutting and toasts.  The cakes were amazing!  Casey’s white cake had five tiers with blue accents.  It was sitting on a table covered with beautiful cascading flowers and in front of a backdrop of more beautiful ivory and blue flowers.  James cool cake was a football field with a football on tap featuring their last name.  The toasts came next and then it was party time!

Every once in a while I’ll say that this crowd was fantastic and packed the dance floor from the first song to the last, and when I say it, I mean it.  Well, this was another one of those crowds.  They were so fun!!!  Oldies, 80’s, Pop, Interactive songs, Country, Slow, you name it, they danced.  They were great!  They danced so much they flowed over the dance floor!

The Bouquet and Garter came later and then we went back to the dancing until the end.   For favors, the guests received chocolates in the shape of the state of Texas.  They also enjoyed the photo booth, a bananas foster station, and a cappuccino station.  The whole wedding day was just wonderful! When the night came to a close with the Aggie War Hymn, the guests showered the Newlyweds with rose petals as they made their exit.  Congratulations James and Casey!

Congratulations Blake and Hilary

With colors of fuchsia and white with green accents, this Reception was as beautiful as it was elegant.  The tables had floor length white cloths with three alternating centerpieces consisting of candles and flowers. The chairs had white covers with fuchsia ties.  We had fuchsia Uplights around the perimeter of the room to give it all a beautiful pink glow.

After the cocktail hour wrapped up, Blake, Hilary and the Wedding Party entered in wearing blinking glasses, which set a fun mood for the night.  Following dinner, we moved on to the cake cutting.  Hilary’s 4 tiered stacked white cake had elegant white designs on each tier and was accented with colorful flowers.  I loved the wedding bells cake topper, which belonged to Hilary’s parents and had special meaning.  Blake’s cake was amazing.  It had a large house sitting on land and it represented “a house divided”, meaning Texas A&M and UT.  Half of the house was maroon and half was burnt orange.  The road signs represented the where the couple came from, went to school and where they will live once married.  It was awesome!

Outside of the blinking glasses, which were given to all the guests, there was a large candy buffet with candy in shades or white, fuchsia and green.  It was a big hit!  There was a photo booth for fun as well.  There were favors on each table consisting of glass coasters with Hilary and Blake’s photo in them and decorated magnets holding a thank you note.

Once the dance floor opened there was fun and dancing until the very end.  We paused for the Bouquet and Garter but quickly returned to the dancing.  The guests had a great time doing the Cha Cha Slide, The Cupid Shuffle and even The Conga when it spontaneously broke out.  At one point, Hilary’s college sorority sisters gathered around her and sang their sorority song.  After a great night of laughter and fun, Blake and Hilary ran through bubbles and took off as a newly married couple.  Congratulations Blake and Hilary!

Congratulations Kevin and Doris

This Ceremony and Reception were absolutely wonderful!  Due to the smaller size, Doris and Kevin were able to spend time with each and every guest, which is always a nice way to enjoy your wedding.  Their colors were white and ivory with soft pink accents.  Doris did most of the decorating herself and she did a fabulous job!  The tables had floor length ivory cloths with sheer runners embroidered with a pink design and a featuring a wide pink satin edge.  The chair toppers were sheer organza tied with a bow and accented with pink flowers, and Doris made them herself.  The centerpieces consisted of vases in wrought iron stands, filled with pink and white flowers, surrounded by pink candles.  Each place setting had a small note pad favor, a box of Jordan almonds and a picture frame holder that had the Newlywed’s photo in it.  The Ceremony was equally pretty, as it took place in front of a gorgeous wrought iron stand filled with candles, between two tall floral arrangements of white and pink flowers.

After the delicious dinner and a toast by Kevin’s son, the Newlyweds cut their wedding cake.  Doris’ chocolate cake had three white tiers on separate stands, each topped with fresh flowers.  Kevin’s cake was awesome!  It had a fire fighter theme with red flames running up the sides, and a fondant mustachioed fire fighter complete with fire hydrant on top.  Later, a small cake was presented to Doris’ parents in recognition of their 57th Wedding Anniversary.  It had a beautiful fondant topper of two love birds, and behind the cake was a frame holding their original wedding invitation. That was so neat!  Doris’ sister made both the cake toppers and she is incredibly talented.

There was no dancing at this Reception, so everyone had time to spend together, talking and laughing and having a great time.  When the afternoon came to an end, Kevin and Doris bid farewell to their guests and saw them off.  Congratulations Kevin and Doris!

Congratulations Gabe and Lauren

This was a big, beautiful, elegant Reception!  With so many guests in attendance (over 300) we knew it was going to be fun.  But, with the ivory, champagne and coral color scheme, it was equally as elegant.  The tables had ivory floor-length cloths with taupe ribbon taffeta overlays.  The chairs had ivory covers with taupe satin ties.  The centerpieces consisted of three matching styles: tall candelabras, tall vases with flowers or short vases with flowers.  All the flowers were white and coral with purple accents.

After Gabe and Lauren arrived and had their First Dance, the Mother/Son and Father/Daughter dances followed.  Then the guests enjoyed a delicious meal before the cake cutting.  Lauren’s elegant cake had four round stacked white tiers, with a cascade of beautiful orange and purple flowers down the front.  Gabe’s chocolate cake had the LSU emblem on it in white, purple and gold.

After the cake cutting it was party time.  This group wanted to party, and they did!  A big shout out goes to Gabe, who did a hand stand on the dance floor, and Lauren, who's also got the moves.  She even did the splits on the dance floor!  We also saw the Worm, the Robot, Gangnam Style, and every other dance move you could imagine. What a blast!  Glow sticks being passed out to the dancers also helped keep the party going strong.

The dance floor was full until we stopped for the Bouquet and Garter, and then everyone kept dancing until the end.  The Newlyweds ran though a shower of rose petals, got into a gorgeous antique Rolls Royce and left to their new life together.  Congratulations Gabe and Lauren!

Congratulations Matt and Liz

What a perfectly wonderful wedding day! We had the privilege of providing not only the DJ services and Uplighting, but the Wedding Planning as well. This wedding featured the elegant color combination of black, white and champagne and it was beautifully carried out. The tables had champagne/taupe tablecloths, alternating between a damask print and ivory satin, and each place setting had taupe napkins. The chiavari chairs had taupe satin ties to match. The gorgeous centerpieces consisted of vases with white and green flowers, which the Newlyweds generously allowed us to take to a local nursing home after the day ended. We had amber Uplights lining the walls of the room to tie it all together and give the ballroom an amber glow.

After the Ceremony, in which Liz dramatically entered down a grand staircase, the guests moved into the Reception to enjoy appetizers before the dinner. After the First Dance and a wonderful meal, we moved onto the toast and cake cutting. Liz’s elegant cake had three round stacked tiers, each accented with taupe designs. Matt’s fun chocolate cake had the University of Michigan logo.

The group danced and had a great time until stopping for the bouquet toss. Then, the fun continued until the night came to a close and Liz and Matt shared their last dance together. Congratulations Matt and Liz!
